  1. Was very enjoyable yesterday. But even with a good contingent of Sale fans, we couldn’t sell out. Quite a few empty seats. Hard to judge whether this is normal given the sporadic nature of home play off finals but Newcastle last week was a sell out. Yeah, atmosphere was very good and it’s the first time I have been tempted to go on the pitch on a final day. Fundamentally I have enjoyed watching and going to Tigers more and more over the last few years as the players seem more normal and easier to connect with than LCFC players, which seems bizarre given the public school context of many rugby players. Similar reasons why I have enjoyed non-league football too.
  2. This is it! We don’t need a pre-match experience at LCFC. I met a mate in soar point(their choice) before the Newcastle game last weekend and up to 230pm before leaving for the game, the place was bout 30% full. It’s good for Tigers if they can rinse the Market Harbs lot anyway because they need the money.
  3. From memory he scored against us at least twice!
  4. He didn’t really. Had a good career in the championship and played in the prem.
  5. Not really sure what to say. But, feel like there is a big social justice point to be made regarding this. I can’t deal with the club churning out videos of our greatest ever player connecting with the community, when they are supporting a sponsor like this.
  6. Villa complain to premier league. What about when Sheff U scored that goal that would have sent them down?
  7. Martin would probably do a better job than Ranieri in the championship. Unfortunately neither of them are Nigel Pearson.
  8. I hope Craig Shakespeare gets some recognition on Sunday.
  9. I might go home early so I get back to Stoneygate quickly.
  10. My grandpa who would have been 110, was in Egypt and Italy during the Second World War. He would have been 30 on VE Day and I celebrate my 30th birthday, today on VE Day. He was an amazing man, who drank with George Orwell and friends with many other literary giants.
  11. They’ve consulted in line with the DMPO. This is a non issue.
  12. Kante- was 5.6 million Mr Professor
  13. I remember seeing Danny Ward vs Burton Albion and thinking this guy lacks the fundamentals to be anything but a lower league goalie. Three years later and he was the reason we went down on the pitch. Iversen, Jakupovic, maybe not Hamer but we’ve had some average keepers here in his time and they should have always started above him. His performance against wolves was one of single handedly worse performances I have ever seen by a Leicester player. That was a really sliding doors moment- I don’t thing there’s a player who cost so much in wages and fees but also damage on the pitch, in his time at Leicester.
  14. 143 miles this month! Last month in my 20s so wanted to really push myself. Tough on the legs though.
  15. Yeah that’s fair enough- I thought he was between 4-6 million.
  16. He was the best keeper in the league before his injury and you think he won’t fetch more than 5 million.
  17. 10 miles this morning in 1 hour 30. The old man beating me by about 5 minutes in his 60s still! Unbelievable.
  18. Vichai did nothing. It was all Pearson.
  19. I think in general people should support their local team. Whether that’s Coalville, Kettering, Leicester City or Aberdeen. Notwithstanding this, my initial post was talking about those fans of the big 6 from Leicester. There are obviously more nuanced connections, such as family and so on. Or people might claim to support the club after being taken to the 1997 final.
  20. People should support their local team. Last few games there’s been away supporters in the home end. I didn’t mind Newcastle as much because they quite clearly weren’t local. I expect the same issue at Liverpool for obvious reasons
  21. How can he be homesick? He’s from Welwyn Garden City
  22. I’m renewing for this next season but that’s more to see my Dad and friends at the games. But anyone who isn’t renewing- shouldn’t be told they are abandoning the club. Club has already abandoned the fans
  23. They probably don’t say much. They’re multi millionaires who work in a leisure resort.
  24. 9.5 miles round Oadby and Stoneygate with a loop round the Uni. It’s absolutely fantastic seeing people who wouldn’t normally run, look absolutely buzzing after doing a park run. I hope they take that feeling into the weekend!
  25. I always worry about its impact on the city centre. Of course my comments are hyperbole but I try and avoid the place out of principle. Some people won’t care and just see an excellent place to shop, which is fair enough.
