One in J1. We thoroughly interrogated his sanity “why are you clapping”, “what deserves applause “, “”what have you seen “ but he just laughed and carried on, I think he expected Ricardo to throw him a fish, his seal impression was very authentic

Ipswich Town (A) Saturday, March 7 = 3, and I do mean 3, pm

We have as much chance of ending with a clean sheet as a teenager with their first jazz mag. -
Just ditto this, we didn’t turn up, didn’t continue the momentum, flat as a pancake. Were Norwich that good? If they were it wouldn’t have taken that long to go 2 up. We had nothing from the full backs, the left wing or centre forward all game, may as well been 11 vs 7 .

Apart from Daka and the full backs (where we have little options), that’s starting to look like a proper football team, what is this strange tinge of optimism I’m feeling right now?

Protest march vs Norwich - Sat 28th Feb 2026

I usually pop into The Lucky Supermarket on Burnmoor Street for me Mars and Crisps, would it be possible for the march to take a detour through it on the way, I’m sure they’ll appreciate the extra trade -
Better but we are commending some things that should be a given like work rate. But chuffed that they look more confident and capable of results now Ayew made it hard work though, nothing was sticking with him and ball was coming straight back every time, defensive unit not getting a breather. He has such a strange idea about how the game should be played. Take nothing for granted but take this form into the Norwich game and keep building, there may be setbacks along the way and we can’t afford many but looking like getting something from your games is a good starting base.

You greedy *********! Ayew, it’s not all about you.

Er Mav, he’s overlapping, fancy joining in and helping out?

Makes a meal out of it

Ayew serious?

I’ve always said “nothing like a solid reliable defence.” And that’s what we have.

A sight I’ll never forget (but wish I could) :- It was a night game home to Birmingham, late 80’s / early 90’s, walking home past infirmary when we heard a boisterous rendition of “S**t on the Villa” approaching in a really strange aerodynamic way. We look round and there was one of the old yellow corporation buses, unseen for years, its windows all smashed out (or in?) with what looked like about 350-400 Brummies like sardines shoehorned into it, presumably a way of getting them to the station without. “Mixing” with the locals. The double decker was zig-zagging and swaying from side to side, defying the laws of physics as they pogoed, danced and tried to get out of the windows to make our acquaintance it looked like tipping over completely as bottles, seats, bits of ceiling, coins and spit flew out from all angles whilst dozens of Mooneys were performed, brave considering the smashed windows! The driver appeared to be completely s****ing himself judging by his Ayrton Senna impression, trying to complete the journey before his head ended up up a brummie backside. Then seconds later it was gone swaying over the horizon, the song echoing off every road sign and lamp post, parents covering children’s eyes and everyone doing a double take - “Did you just see that”. A bus full of backsides singing, like a surreal muppet show routine ! -

Didn’t witness it myself directly….anyone here on the coach in Rome? -
What was no.3 doing and look at his response - a Soumare like jog back, at this level mistakes are punished

Ball boy sent to local mini-mart for another pack of batteries

Wowzer, great response from Spurs, game on

Celtic lost

Now 2-2 Livingston v Rangers Celtic 2-1 down to Hibs, So called Trusty let them down by getting sent off. Long look at a potential Rangers penalty, 9 mins added, it’s not even last day and this is bonkers levels of tension.

I’d agree that trying Mavididi or Decordova-Reid up there would likely fare better than what we get now - Daka can’t handle the physicality of this league and Ayew can’t handle the pace (he just brings everything down to his tempo). Either of the false 9’s would have more joy running on to things and stretching defences than the current choices do.
-
Was yesterday’s the same injury as his recent one? Looked like he was holding his ankle and the decision to sub was pretty instant. I make that 9 players unavailable at that point including the DeCordova-Reid suspension, with Lascelles, Souttar, James & Fatawu particularly needed, Ramsey less so now we have Mukasa but would still be a nice option to have. Vesty and Choudhury…not bothered about. Anyone regret leaving James on that day he got injured? The last time VK tried to play on it cost us another goal, if his movement is affected then going off is the only right thing to do, it’s not about heart, commitment and determination, it’s about not wanting an immobile player out there (insert Vestergaard joke here). OK you’d like to see him protest and resist a bit, he didn’t exactly require dragging off against his will but it was the right footballing decision reached with the contribution of the physio.

Goal offside IF there was a flick on in the box, from the original cross he was onside, interesting to see who gets given the assist credit.

I like second half’s, I’ve forgotten how good they can be
