https://news.sky.com/story/uks-population-increases-by-1-in-a-year-mainly-due-to-net-migration-ons-says-13230157 In the year to mid 2023, the UK population increased by 1%, the largest increase since 1948. For the first time since 1976, "natural population" (births-deaths) was negative, and so the entire growth in population was down to net migration, running at almost 700,000 people.

What Game Are You Playing At The Moment ?
DennisNedry replied to LeicesterBran's topic in Music and Gaming
Just picked up The Talos Principle 2. Hope I enjoy it as much as the first one. -
The Utd Villa game is shite. All ballet dancers. Fouls for nothing every 10 seconds. No quality of note.
-
I didn't think there were any credible penalty shouts yesterday for either team tbh.

It says a lot really that even OAP Vardy is the best option we have at the moment. He shouldn't really be starting anymore, especially not week in week out. Unfortunately our recruitment has been so diabolical that there's nobody to take his place.

First half shit. Bournemouth fans fairly quiet but did hear the usual 'football in a library' and 'your support is ****ing shit' songs early doors. Then at 1-0, the '1-0 and you still don't sing' went unanswered. Second half, from about 60 mins, atmosphere was decent, building to quite a strong finish to get us over the line.

Odsonne Edouard joins on loan - Official

He looked like a competition winner today. -
I'm sure he'll play a big role this season but he wasn't missed today. You can't play Winks, Skipp and Wilf together. Winks rightly the one to be dropped for me.

I'm only 31 and I can't wait to retire - if I am lucky enough to ever do so. I'm a bit of a boring bastard you see, I'm quite happy doing sod all. Love a lie in, love to sit for hours on end watching tele or gaming. If I could basically plod around the house, broken up by a couple of holidays a year, I think I'd be happy as larry.

Maresca didn't even play Cannon in the Championship so it seems particularly harsh going after Cooper now 😂

I just sort of assumed my waning interest in City and football in general was due to me getting older (focusing on family, my son, career etc). But lately I have been coming to the same kind of realisations as many here. It's just not as good anymore for dozens of reasons. Despite winning a hell of a lot last season I found myself unable to enjoy it, the style of football is just so dull to watch these days. Granted they'll always be a mad game every so often but a lot are just formulaic. VAR is one of the most jarring for me though. I genuinely hate it.

Only skim read it but she was on about the 2 child benefit cap being 'cruel' and that Dianne Abbott deserves more respect. Can't get much less Tory than that 😂 Granted she also disagreed with the removal of winter fuel allowance but then a lot of Labour MPs voiced that too.

Just the thread we needed.

You're dropping Wilf? He's been one of our best players so far this season. I'd drop Winks before Wilf. -

That's a pretty strong positive! Like me saying, "Only positive from today is manageing to nail that threesome with those hot sisters I've had my eye on" -
Apart from a couple (Vesty, Winks?), I don't see any signs of players downing tools really.

Nothing header, lucky deflection, we'll take it. I suppose just stay in it for as long as possible now and try and nick something. Also, how the hell is that a yellow for Skipp? -

I think the truth falls somewhere in the middle. 4 years is a long, long time in football. Our squad is weaker than the one that won the Championship let alone 4 years ago. We shouldn't be expecting anything other than a limp defeat at Arsenal imo. Apart from that one game in 2020 we always lose there. Even in the title winning season we lost there.
