They don’t really have anybody I’d want. Perhaps a youngster like Harvey Vale for the future - decent season at Bristol Rovers last year, could look to find him a top end league 1/lower championship loan and develop him for the longer term.

Unlike the £25 charge, I sense that non-director level staff members at the club aren’t even trying to defend the price increases judging by the communication I’ve had with them over the last couple of days regarding this. They seem genuinely empathetic and have the undertones of people who are as unhappy about the increases as the average fan (they too could be fans themselves, I don’t know).

Season ticket at Torquay is £300 - less than 6 tickets to watch us where I normally go in SK4. They’re a club that needs the money/support, think City may well have made up my mind to do it.

Yeah going to a home game will be a once in a while thing now and not the regular trip up it has been. Shame.

Positive to take is that when the pressure came, the defence handled it relatively well. Guehi was excellent. Foden was really poor I thought by his standards, Saka faded badly too. But a win is a win. I’m sure we’d all take dodgy 1-0 wins throughout the tournament!
