  1. Before the new financial year - interesting. Anybody with more knowledge than me know what this means? Perhaps agreed to a lower payoff that we felt could fall in this financial year?
  2. Rather have Röhl, but I’d not be horrendously annoyed with Dyche. Like many, my main concern would be how he would use our young players - I just feel like Röhl would be a much better fit all round, but there are of course pros and cons to both of them.
  3. Meh. Love Ricky and when fit he’s still an excellent player, but we need to cut our cloth and having a liability injury-wise on £50k+ a week isn’t the smartest idea. Shame other poor players who couldn’t care less will still be here if/when he goes though. Players who earn a similar wage… state of a club aren’t we.
  4. They owed us that at the very least after what they’ve given us this season. Shame we couldn’t win it, but lovely to mess up Forest’s aspirations for now. Very promising comments from Ruud about Monga and a potential contact on the way. Really hope Vardy is ok for next week, I suspect even if he isn’t 100% we’ll have him play a part.
  5. I was 12 when he joined. That just seems absolutely crazy to me now - I’ve quite literally grown up watching this man lead the line for us. I’m more than gutted. It’s going to be so, so strange not having him about. Thank you, you absolute hero.
  6. One less starting position to worry about next season if he can keep this up for the last few games - didn’t think he had it in him, but fair play.
  7. I’m thinking about it purely because I’m in the process of doing the 92 - refuse to go there in the home end but can never get tickets when we play there normally as they sell out, so see this as a chance to get it done. Sad that that’s my motivation for going really
  8. Personally I’d be buzzing if we got £3/4m for him and his wages off the books. We need a proper reset, get the majority of the squad gone if possible.
  9. On the whole “fans of other clubs will take the piss” etc. Why do we care what fans of OTHER clubs think? We’re protesting about OUR club - for me I couldn’t care less about outside perception as what we do really doesn’t affect them. For what it’s worth, I can see both sides of the debate in terms of exact message. However, I’m happy to back KP out as I’m almost entirely certain that it won’t cause them to leave, but will get under Top’s skin, something the other messaging wouldn’t do in the same way.
  10. Thought the shape after Ricky came on with him inverting alongside Winks like last season looked solid. Whether that was more to do with Chelsea setting up to contain and see the game out I’m not sure, but it was promising for the short period of time we used it.
  11. Horrible. Look at that manager, look at those players. Instead of Wasyl we have Faes, Coady instead of Wes, Winks instead of Kingy, Ayew and Reid instead of Albrighton. It’s depressing. That group of players was something else - even when we were losing constantly, they never stopped working.
  12. Just got to the part where he’s geeing the fans up and head-butted the wall. Get. Him. Back.
  13. Pure profit for PSR will be important in the summer - £20m wouldn’t be bad at all, might give us a fighting chance of keeping BEK if clubs come knocking, assuming we sell Hermansen for a large PSR profit too.
  14. Sold Cannon for less book profit when we’ll need a striker next season
  15. We will not get another offer like this for him, sell.
  16. Not as horrendous as it first seems I think. Coady off the books for someone who (I hope) is on far less and maybe only on an 18-month deal. Squad player who can provide cover and experience in the championship for Nelson, Okoli and maybe Souttar.
  17. Likewise, I agree. I think next season it’s just important to build a team of players we can really get behind. That’ll start with having some academy lads in the team, but will also be dependent on the recruitment of players potentially from a lower level who see us as a genuine step up for them. The likes of Ayew and Reid have been shambolic signings because not only are they quite limited as players, but they are literally only here for the money as we’ve offered them longer deals than they’d have got elsewhere. They don’t care at all. Get some players signed from league 1 or the lower half of the championship (if we don’t get a transfer ban) that want to play for us and do care. Back to this specific loan - good luck to Will and I hope he smashes it. It’s a great test for him and I hope it goes a similar way to KDH’s first loan at Blackpool which was also half a season.
  18. The only glimmer of hope I have for next season in the championship is seeing some boys from the academy properly cement their places in our squad - the likes of Alves and Nelson in particular, but hopefully others such as Monga too.
  19. Excellent loan for him if true and he gets good mins.
  20. Hopefully it’s just a case of not accepting their first offer, which would be sensible - as long as we’re not making ridiculous demands - which is my worry
  21. South Devon for me. Got far more into going to away games in recent years truth be told - only go to a handful of home games per season.
  22. I’ve not purchased any merchandise this season, and have only done a couple of Cat C home games in A1 at the cost of £33 (only time a home ticket is remotely reasonable in price). Other than that it has been away games only with capped ticket prices. There’s been a few Saturdays this season where I’ve made the conscious decision to not pay £50 odd (plus travel) to watch City at the KP, and have opted to pay £18 and watch my local side, Torquay, instead. Cheaper, often more enjoyable, and you know the money is going to a club that really needs it after nearly going bust last season (the new owners are doing an excellent job this season thankfully). No brainer really, sad as it is.
  23. Southampton away was good fun. That’s it
  24. He’s been fine on the whole. Put it this way, we have the current version of him in goal instead of Ward in 22/23, we stay up.
  25. Was thinking about it but no chance after A) that horrendous performance today and B) those disgusting prices.
