I’m very perplexed at the hate Faes is getting for making a good challenge that should have resulted in a goal kick. Slightly risky, yes, but he got it right - not his fault the ref got it wrong. I don’t rate the man, but it’s beyond harsh. I’d go so far as to say if it had been many other members of the squad - Abdul, James, Ricardo etc, the reaction would be very different and sympathetic.

How am I reading that he was at fault for WBA’s goal? Come on, he’s a young keeper who has had a couple of dodgy moments this season, but to pin that on him is beyond harsh in my opinion.

Agreed. Needs to regain some confidence it looks like, could do with a goal. Can’t be easy seeing a 16 year-old in your position getting all the attention he is, whilst simultaneously contributing more than you in games. I like Stephy, and I hope he can find some form again.

Correct decision. He’s not going to get much of a look-in on the wing, especially as Silko Thomas now looks to be ahead of him. Also Page is ahead of him centrally so let’s get him out and get him games. Unlike Cardiff, Huddersfield will be on the front foot in most of their games so hopefully we can see more of him offensively.

This is awesome - none of this MLS or Saudi nonsense like most at the end of their careers. Whether that’s by choice or not who knows. Playing in Serie A, challenging himself with keeping his club in the league. This is very Jamie Vardy - will be keeping an eye on him.

To go against the negativity, I actually think this game might suit us more than all the ones we’ve played previously this season. They’ll actively attack us more themselves, rather than waiting for us to make mistakes and counter. While they’ll inevitably hurt us, they should in theory leave more space for the wingers to exploit. Big if, but if we can counter ourselves and get the ball to the wingers at speed I think we’ll have some joy. I’m going 2-1 city.
