  1. Even so, it’s a high bar
  2. Looking at their remaining fixtures I’d say there is a good chance that spurs and Man Utd could finish 16th and 17th. Just highlights the strength of the league bar the promoted teams. I can see one of next years new boys beating Derbys record at this rate
  3. IMO it’s a really easy job to gauge success in. We are always told it’s a results business - make the contracts (and player wages whilst we’re at it) purely performance based
  4. This is where regulator would come in handy. As it stands managers wouldn’t sign if the contract did them out of compensation. However, I can’t think of another industry where an employee can do an awful job yet get paid handsomely to get sacked. There should be a performance related clause written in as standard and I don’t think that hiring and firing should count within PSR. The whole set up is horrendous.
  5. Hermansen JJ Coady Okoli Thomas Skipp Ricardo Monga BEK Mavididi Vardy
  6. I actually think we’d have a chance of getting Evan Ferguson on a loan with obligation deal. He's massively out of favour at Brighton and has gone to West Ham and he’s barely played let alone scored. Surprising considering their lack of strikers. He could do with dropping down to build some confidence
  7. Everything that could have possibly gone wrong did. - manager left and took player of the season with him - appointed awful replacement - hideous summer transfer window - injuries to Fatawu & Ricardo (long-term) Ndidi and Hermansen (short term) - sacked terrible manager, replaced him with worse one - no January transfer window - players forgot how to score or defend - players fall out with manager - relegated without and ounce of effort - forest to get in Europe and Leeds promoted (possibly Coventry too) - impending EFL punishment Have I missed anything?
  8. I’m pretty sure when we conceded the first goal to Newcastle at home the camera panned to RVN and you could very clearly lip read him say “oh for **** sake” Summed up the season really.
  9. Foreign clubs will look at Faes, Vestergaard, Kristiensen and Soumare. We might have some lower end EPL/ promoted clubs look at Ndidi, BDCR and Ayew. Coady, Winks and Daka will be the ones we struggle with most.
  10. The board can start getting us back onside by making a decision on Ruud now and then ensuring that the new man (and backroom team) are in place as soon as they can be. We need to know which players we have to work with next season and which players need moving on. Ideally this is done now so we can only use those that are staying for the rest of the season. This will mean that the bulk of next seasons squad and the management team are in place for 1st day of preseason. We can’t afford to drag our heels on this. Need to turn our early relegation into a positive and use the extra time we have effectively.
  11. Get him gone, hopefully one of the London clubs will pick him up
  12. Something we’ve definitely lacked this season. Let’s hope we can gerrimin
  13. Whats his best position? Looked at a quick video and he looks like an 8 to me
  14. The more I think about it the more I want Dyche. The board needs to appreciate who and what we are at the moment. We don’t need to be flashy, we need to win games of football that will first of all get us promoted and then importantly keep us there.
  15. Evening Mr Marinakis
  16. I’d have Alves as cover for BEK in the 10. Mavididi and Mcateer - left. Fatawu and Monga - right.
  17. I think Murphy would make a brilliant right back. Convert him to that and play Gordon in front of him
  18. I didn’t realise Ings was only 32. If Vardy does go it wouldn’t be a bad replacement on a free as long as we invested in a longer term option too
  19. If we get Dyche, the following players are out of contract in the summer: Danny Ings Michael Keane Ben Mee Josh Brownhill
  20. Found that interesting too. He could be the man for a rebuild, it would take time and patience. We as fans would have to give him that and more importantly Top would have to understand that it would be a change of style and a reshaping of the club. Always liked Sean, can see him not being everyones cup of tea though.
  21. Spot on. We should be grateful that we’ve beaten Derby’s points tally
  22. Not saying that would have signed for us but Okoli and Skipp cost the same as Milenkovic and Delap
  23. Russell Martins first signing will be Harry Darling to play centre back
  24. As mentioned on some of the other posts, regardless of how we have performed the reality is that promoted clubs have a mountain to climb to compete. West Ham are now 17th. Wan-Bissaka, Kilman, Pacqueta, Kudus and Bowen would get into a number of the top half sides. The rest of their team is made up of solid pros and any of their bench/reserve players would get in our team. The gap is huge and until the Premier League do something to level the playing field (financially) this is how it’s going to go from now on.
  25. The social media post announcing his departure has probably already been made. Just waiting to hit send.
