Ricardo and Fatawu. Aluko, Thomas, VK, Choudhury and BDCR could all play there if needed. These are professional footballers paid obscene money - they should all be able to play where they’re told.

The system is the problem. We have the players for a 3-5-2 (or variation of) and we are persisting with a formation that does not suit us. Our strikers have ONE goal all season and yet he hasn’t realised that all 3 play better in a front 2. We’ve had trouble at centre back all season - if you haven’t got 2 to play in a back 4 go to a 3. Lack of players out wide, play 2 rather than 4. IT IS NOT ROCKET SCIENCE.

I’ve said this for weeks but we NEED to do something different - going to keep getting the results: Stolarcyzk (just) Faes Vestergaard Nelson Ricardo Choudhury James Fatawu Monga (BDCR if unavailable) Daka Ayew (would be Evans if not away) Aluko needs to be on bench.

The way the lineup reads (on the graphic from Twitter page) it looks like Soumare as a 6 and JJ & Winks as two 8’s

We have no money to spend. Surely a young player who may just need a change of scenery on loan (with option/obligation) is the best we can hope for

Rumours are the Evan Ferguson loan at Roma to be cancelled. We should be all over this if it happens.

I’m normally one for giving managers time but he’s out of his depth. His persistence with under performing players and his reluctance to change the approach is baffling. I’ve no idea what our plan was in the last 20 mins or so today, it appeared to be to chuck a load of attackers on and hope for the best. The frustration on the pitch was evident. Whilst he didn’t have a pre-season there is no excuse now for the clear lack of game plan and understanding of the squad.

Their RW is the danger and we have him up against LT with a 16yr old in front and a milk float next to him. Could get messy.

Great news that he’s signed - need to get him in the 1st team squad starting tomorrow. If you’re good enough you’re old enough.

Pipes on the WYS pod suggested shifting Daka wide to utilise his pace. For all his faults, workrate and pace are not two of them. Worth a go trying him from the left with the instruction to take his fullback on and push us up the pitch. Could be our very own Forrest Gump.

We should not under any circumstances sell Nelson. hes the future - the current issue is we have no one to play with him

Remember when the majority on here were offended by the prospect of Oli Mcburnie. Would take him in a heartbeat now (he’s gonna bag on Tues btw)

Not a lot of options. Nelson is the future but would struggle next to any of the others (bar Souttar). Okoli is an accident waiting to happen. Whilst I appreciate the same could be said of Faes and vestergaard they are better on the ball. Medium term solution is Nelson and Souttar. Long term solution is Nelson and an improvement on the other 4.

System wise it may just need a tweak depending on how the game is going we appear to only have one way of playing regardless of how it’s going. Assuming we persist with the same formation, and with having to wait until January to bring new players in we have to look for solutions within current squad. GK - I’m still not sold on Stolarcyzk, is our newest keeper signing still alive?! RB - might get pelters for this but I think we look better when Hamza starts and Ricky comes on. CB - for now I would persist with Faes and Vestergaard but would be bringing Souttar in as soon as he’s fit. LB - I would give Kristensen a longer run in the side. If we play Hamza I would go to a back 3 in possession with VK bombing on. He’s better going forward that LT and would help whoever is playing on the left. CM - needs to be Winks and JJ. When January comes we need to take what we can get for Soumare and bring a destroyer in. Until then Winks needs to just sit in front of back 4 and protect/dictate play and allow JJ to get ahead of the ball. RW - Fats. 10 - I like Ramsey in there. LW - Monga should just be used as an impact sub. We need to play Stephy into form but until he’s fit I would look at Ayew and BDCR there. VK bombing on would allow them to come in field and leave space that side for left footer. ST - take your pick. Until Jan we have to make do. Evans deserves a chance, the others - meh. If we have any desire to go up we need to do some business in Jan. We need a decent striker, no excuses. We should shift Faes, Daka and Soumare for whatever we can get for them. If possible do the permanent deal for JJ to free another loan up as we could do with a defensive midfielder and a winger alongside the new man up top. Massive few months ahead.

Teams go into matches with us like a boxing match. They keep us at arms length and then go for us when they realise we can’t punch. We need to do something different. Change the shape or change the personnel. Marti needs to sort this out.

I hope so. My theory is that we’re desperate to sell Faes and won’t be able to if he’s not playing. Hopefully he does well and someone buys him in Jan. On WYS it was suggested he isn’t quick enough to cover Jannik if playing with him. Could be some truth in that. I really rate Nelson and will be gutted if we end up losing him.
