  1. My guess is that he’ll be gone one way or another once we are in a new financial year. Pretty sure the worst year (PSR wise) will no longer be counted after this season. Hopefully he will agree a mutual termination to save face and save us a few quid. Whatever happens he is not the right man to take us forward and I hope and pray that the decision makers are already talking to potential replacements.
  2. What we’re doing isn’t working so need RVN to try something different. I’d go with this - it can’t get any worse
  3. I actually quite liked what Russell Martin was saying on MNF the other week. Basically said that not enough thought was put into the dark arts side of football and was naive in that he thought they could play the same way in this league. Good to hear he understands where he went wrong and hopefully he’s learnt from it
  4. Utd are shite. sadly, our manager won’t think that and will convince the players they’ve lost before they reach the tunnel
  5. Id go with: Mads Faes Coady Thomas Justin Ndidi Winks Coulibaly Bilal Vardy Mavididi
  6. Does Ruud get the boot if we get a good hiding?
  7. This. As we should recall from last season, Enzos teams are vulnerable on the break. I would play Mavididi, Daka and Bilal at top end and add an extra body at the back
  8. When we go down, we need to focus on losing as many high earners as possible before using the loan system to replace them. Regardless of who we lose/sign this summer, if we come back up there would need to be a complete rebuild again. Filling the gaps with loans makes the most logical sense. You would like to think with our contacts at Man Utd, Man City and Chelsea we could borrow some highly rated youngsters for a season.
  9. Football is a shambles. Literally no point in anyone other than the favoured teams having a go. Something needs doing.
  10. He would never do this but this is what I would start with. Need some pace and energy at the top end and need to be sturdier at the back.
  11. Would rather start him than Ayew or bdcr
  12. We would end up with a back four of Connor Roberts, Ben Mee, Michael Keane and Charlie Taylor
  13. When we went down last time we had a number of players that were either out of contract or were sellable assets. This time around I can see Vardy (😭) and the two keepers leaving on a free, the loan players going back and handful of our players being courted elsewhere: Hermansen Faes Ndidi Soumare Keeping BEK is pivotal, if we can keep him he’ll boss that league. There will be others that may go but I think that these are the obvious ones. In an ideal world we shift the high earners and replace with quality young players and loans. Our success next year will depend on what sanctions are placed on us. If we have an embargo and a hefty points deduction it will make things tricky. My hope is that we are confident we can’t be punished for the same reason we won our battle with the PL. There would have been little point defending ourselves against one entity to then get relegated and shafted by the other.
  14. I would take 3/4 years in the championship if it meant this board, coaching team and squad was replaced. Get rid of whoever we can this summer and get our academy talent playing. Would rather support a bunch of teenagers who lose more than they win than these pathetic lot
  15. I can accept managers getting things wrong but what I can’t accept are managers unwilling to change when things aren’t working. Our defence has been all over the gaff since he’s come in but not considered a back three or an extra body in middle of the park. We’re not scoring or creating yet persists with a front 3 with a combined age of 103 when there is Daka, Buonanotte and Mavididi available. Percy even said that Eduoard is training well and available - how are we going to know if he’s going to make a difference if not even on the bench?! Youth players that aren’t trusted, no game plan/tactics and as soon as our opponents get any control of the game we retreat and let them bend us over. This is all the work of a high-level ex pro who has assisted and managed at some big clubs and a national side. The only possible thinking is that he wants sacking, no-one determined to achieve would carry on like this and come out with some of the stuff he is saying.
  16. We haven’t got the players for Dyche. He would end up playing Jannik up top with an out of retirement Albrighton trying to hit him from half way. We need someone with balls. Someone who will get us organised and will make us aggressive on and off the ball. There are so many flaws in the current set up it needs someone to come in and start again. Looking at who is available now (and free) it is slim pickings. I would probably plump for O’Neil. As a short term appointment I think he would get us fired up and having a go.
  17. JJ and Ricardo injured, Coady doing a podcast and with three in midfield it would be nice to have a centre back who could pass to one of them. Only debate is Thomas or VK, would be an extra body in front of lb with BEK working back so would pick VK as better going forward
  18. Whilst Ruud appears too stubborn to change we need to try something different
  19. If we can get 20 mins out of him every week that’s a win. Whether that be at fullback, centre mid or on the wing he will improve us if he’s on the pitch. We can’t rely on him physically for longer than that but if used well he would be an asset
  20. If we have a first 11 that consistently has: Stolarcyzk Coulibaly Okoli Souttar Skipp BEK Fatawu we’ll have a very good chance of coming back up. Add in Nelson, Alves, Monga, Mcateer and Evans We would need to then see who we can’t shift to see what needs backfilling
  21. Re mavididis role in the goal I agree in part, however he was trying to make something happen. Perhaps he’d been watching us cross/pass to no-one from the bench and thought he’d try something different. A lot had to happen between him losing the ball and it hitting our net. If he had curled it into the top corner for a 1-0 win there would be no criticism
  22. I’ll get rinsed for this but I’d consider converting Fatawu into a fullback/wingback if we go down. There are some good examples of wingers successfully transitioning into fullbacks over the years and I’ve always though Abdul has the attributes to do it.
  23. Happy to admit that I’ve been wrong in the past with my backing of Ruuds selection at the top end of the pitch. Whilst Vardy, Ayew and BDCR have experience and work rate they offer little to no threat. Defensively, we were solid yesterday. The first goal wasnt helped by a tired clearance which imo came a result of the amount of defending we had to do. When we did with the ball there was no outlet. The ball just kept coming back and when that happens the defence will invariably cave. The back 6 id keep how it is. In front of that is where we need to have a rethink. For me the two options are either adding Winks and playing 4-3-3 with BEK from the left and Buonanotte from the right or keeping the double pivot and playing Mavididi, BEK and Buonanotte as the three. Up top, I would start Daka. He presses better than Vardy and his pace will force the opposition to defend deeper than if Vardy was playing. He isn’t as prolific but has a better all round game and I think Vardy coming on for last 20 would have more of an impact. All is not lost, we need to be braver with our attacking choices.
  24. Yeah and even if it wasn’t he couldn’t sign for anyone as not a free agent during transfer window. If he can stay fit he’s a great player, sadly he can’t seem to
  25. Needs to be: Mads JJ Faes Okoki Kristensen Ndidi Soumare Ayew El Khannous BDCR Daka It would be incredibly harsh not to play Okoli and Daka after last night. Big improvement on recent Vesty and Vardy performances
