Seems obvious to me what’s happening. The only players willing to join us are going to those who end the window with the prospect of not playing for their current club. We’ll get three more loans and a couple of players signed who are down the pecking order come at the end of August. Hoping we’ll get lucky and some decent players will become available once clubs who can spend their budgets.

King Power has bounced back financially following the pandemic. Money isn’t the problem. It is those in charge of it. When you think about how much we were paying Bertrand, Vestergaard, Soumare, Perez etc and the money wasted on fees we are a million miles from the likes of Brighton, Palace, Bournemouth etc. Change needs to happen and quickly.

I think we signed him before it looked like Daka was off. Clubs will now always buy this type of player for the potential of a profitable future sales for PSR purposes. I’m hoping a full season towards the top of the championship will do him good and he’ll come back and contribute next season.

We desperately needed a striker before yesterday and I’m hoping the performance and Dakas injury will accelerate plans. We need signings now. If it costs us a few extra quid than so be it.

Southampton’s is higher than ours. They generated more than us from player sales last season which may have a bearing

Strong in the air, relatively quick (for his size), good in both boxes, decent passer of the ball…… All I can think of is that he’s not got the tactical awareness to play at the top level. Can head balls out of the box all day in the championship but must struggle with the understanding of the game against better opposition

If we end up with: Doak and Fofana (loan) Asprilla Striker (Adebayo) Centre mid (Rios) I would be content with that and I’d back Cooper to make it work

Can see this being in addition to another striker Vardy won’t be able to keep up with the demands of the PL now, Cannon isn’t ready and Daka not good enough. Would be happy with this guy on loan and signing of a target man (ideally Adebayo)

I really hope so. This is having a huge impact on our pre-season, players will be reluctant to join not knowing our situation. They said we breached ages ago, it’s not within the spirit of the game to drag it out like this. Should have been done and dusted months ago

We need a striker, number 10, winger and centre mid before the end of the window as a minimum. id much rather sign two strikers and sell Daka and loan Cannon. Neither are good enough/

From the little I’ve seen of him he looks very promising. Still very young so has potential to improve further. Lets get him over the line and then we can focus on 2 x centre mids, a striker and versatile attacker (Ayew 👀)
