  1. I think we’re either decided to take the hit or have found another way around it
  2. Dodgy as fvck but nothing will get done about it. Hopefully a nail in the coffin for PSR
  3. I’d like to think both parties appreciate the challenges we’ll face this season and have come to an agreement that if we go down he’ll try to get us back up again
  4. Blatantly going to end up with a spine of Joe Worrall, Ryan Yates and Sam Surridge
  5. If he succeeds I hope all of those slating him (before the ink is dry on his contract) will be big enough to admit you’re wrong. Let’s be positive, get behind Steve and the team and see what happens.
  6. https://www.itv.com/news/central/2022-05-30/forests-promotion-one-of-the-most-amazing-football-stories-of-recent-years Worth a read
  7. More than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. He also could have waited for a much easier gig but appears up for the challenge. We need to back him with some new signings and then as fans need to back him from the stands. Will take a collective effort to achieve our goals this season Beggars can’t be choosers either. Can’t imagine there is a long queue of managers wanting to take us on
  8. Potter would love him. His versatility would be an asset in that kind of system
  9. Preferably play some bigger teams at the start whose players are not available after an extended run at the euros
  10. I think a couple of the more established teams might struggle this year. Fulham will be weaker and if Brentford lose Toney they might be down there. Everton look like losing Branthwaite and rumours of DCL, Onana etc leaving. Add Forest, Ipswich and Southampton to the mix and it could get tight down the bottom.
  11. I seem to remember the old “two 1st choice keeper” nonsense Essentially they classed him as a number 1 who was happy to be a backup and earn a number 1 wage. Being a backup keeper is a great gig. You rarely get your hands dirty and every now again get the chance to be a hero
  12. Those saying his Brighton team couldn’t score - he was relying on the likes of Maupay and Welbeck to get their goals. They also didn’t struggle in his last game for them against us - would have been 6 without VAR howler and could have been 10
  13. IF we don’t win these Euros, with the players available to us, I imagine GS will “mutually terminate” his contract and the FA will have their eyes on someone bigger than Howe and Potter. A top coach would win the lot with this group and I can see the FA going for a proven winner to finally bring it home. Howe and Potter would just be media darlings that are smily and pleasant but don’t strike fear into other nations. We need a Klopp like character.
  14. Minster Lovell - small world!
  15. Which one? 👀
  16. Because his wife was up the Damien duff
  17. If he has a good euros, plays regularly in the PL a club (especially overseas) could pay £10m for 32yr old international
  18. Haven’t read through all the posts so apologies if this has been missed. If he’s on a lower wage than before and we can sell him next summer - does than not help towards PSR and will it all count as profit as he was out of contract?
  19. He didn’t want to play out of position in the 2nd tier. Got a decent loan for a team that finished in champions league spots so on the face of it he made the right choice. Im hopeful new manager comes in and gives him a chance and too good to be written off
  20. We definitely can, the realism I mention is purely survival. Let’s not run before we can walk.
  21. This could only happen to us. I don’t think there will be another occasion in the history of football where a team gets promoted to the top tier, will start the season with a points deduction/probable limitations on spending and their manager (who’s only been there for one season) gets snapped up by a top club. Whoever comes in has an almighty challenge so it will need to be someone positive, driven and above all else realistic.
  22. Garcias coaching record is a horror show. if this looks like it’s getting close we need to act like we did when Warnock nearly took over all those years ago. If he comes in we’re down by Xmas
  23. This is a huge concern of mine. He will have been looking closely at our academy talent and will know what it takes to get them. We need to be very firm on this - any players he wants to take with him leave on our terms
  24. I was actually dreading this season with him setting us up to get slaughtered. Important thing is now that we get the new manager in, let them shape the squad the best they can (loans could be vital this season wink wink Enzo) and plan meticulously for a very tough season. Earlier the new manager is in the better, nightmare scenario would be them joining late
