  1. Not happening. Sky Sports looked at us, saw we need a RB then looked who’s out of contract soon
  2. Hoping for some better luck! my wife got diagnosed with a brain tumour this year (confident it’s benign, follow up scan in March), lost my uncle and best mates dad and ended 2024 deadlocked in talks with my employer about a promotion/role change. To top it off, it is our 9th wedding anniversary today and I am home alone with flu (real, not man flu) whilst wife and kids are away with her family for new year getaway.
  3. He’s also injured so wouldn’t have played in these games anyway. More proof that corruption is rife in our league
  4. We need to have a right go at these. No Duran, Pau or Rogers. I would go Choudhury for JJ and Okoli for Coady leaving the rest as it is.
  5. If the helicopter manufacturer or the company responsible for servicing it were to found liable there is potential for a huge settlement
  6. I can’t think of a better loan PL striker signing than Ferguson. A move to us with a gaffer like RVN might be what he needs to kickstart his career
  7. It would soften the blow if we’re losing him regardless
  8. Did we agree a new sponsorship deal of some kind recently or have I dreamt it? Nothing to do with BC Game
  9. Glaringly obvious what we need so would like to think we’re nearly there on a couple of deals. Not too much to ask is it?!?
  10. We also have 2 non PL loan spaces so could see us getting a couple in from abroad. We need to be proactive in this window as this current squad goes down
  11. After today I would say the priority list is now: RB ST CB if we can get those done early I wouldn’t turn my nose up at a left sided defender and right winger
  12. Premier League with their PSR and VAR nonsense
  13. We will cause these trouble if we have a go at them. Need to be aggressive with and without the ball - last thing we do is show them respect
  14. Any good?
  15. Sign: Right back - Anyone Centre back - Godfrey Left back who moves into back 3 - Gomez Left winger - need to sign a starter Right winger - Almiron on loan Striker - Ferguson on loan Sell/loan Faes - should make profit on him Mcateer - loan Edouard and Buonanotte - return Ward - tie him to something until contract expires We still have 2 non English loan spots so could use loan details with option/requirement if we stay up. Many will think this is unrealistic but the reality is we need to improve our squad if we want to stay up. If we don’t we’re in big trouble. For the record I really rate Buonanotte. My reason for him going back is because I think Brighton either want him back (so they can sell) or RVN doesn’t see his as his winger option or number 10. If that’s the case it’s pointless to take up a loan spot for someone not starting
  16. Imagine we had spent the Okoli and Skipp money on a decent RB & CB 😩
  17. Not debating that Vardy is our first choice, just that he can’t play every minute and to have a striker that our manager supposedly rates festering on the bench is a bit odd
  18. Assuming a recommendation from Enzo……
  19. Anyone shed any light as to how Patson comes off the bench in Ruuds 1st game and scores a blinder, RVN then explains that he wanted him at PSV and we’ve barely seen him since?
  20. If we went down I think we would have this as the nucleus of our squad: Stolarcyzk Okoli Nelson Souttar Cover Choudhury Skipp Winks Golding Fatawu Mavididi Mcateer Bilal BDCR Ayew Cannon That leaves the following who would be sold, released or loaned out: Hermansen Ward Iversen Ricardo Justin Kristensen Coady Vestergaard Faes Ndidi Soumare Vardy Daka Some of the players may move list and this doesn’t factor in any new signings in January. Think this highlights the importance of staying up, massive upheaval if we drop.
  21. An elite manager gets the best out of their players. When looking at the SAF teams of the 90’s and 00’s, they won what they did because they believed they were going to. Same could be said of some of Jose’s teams. Matt Doherty is not a brilliant footballer yet yesterday he made the game look effortless. I would suggest that is down to the belief he had going into the game. RVN needs to channel that. We looked timid and like a deer in the headlights yesterday. We need to play with belief if we are going to survive this season. The last thing we need is investment on players in January who then end up playing with the same fear - it’s exactly what happened when we were in this position last time.
  22. If in doubt - clear it. Rule 1 of defending
  23. Vestergaards ability on the ball is irrelevant if he can’t head a simple ball away
  24. If we send Edouard back we have 1 PL loan and 2 non-PL loans available (thinking Dutch league) leave us a minimum of 3 permanent signings required - get your chequebook out Top else we’re away to Wrexham next season
  25. Today isn’t on him. Errors for all three goals that are out of his control. The only issue from today (and last week) is Buonanottes absence. I’m assuming he’s going back at Brightons request and he doesn’t want to play someone who is not going to be here. The players aren’t good enough and he deserves a window in which he can bring his own players in and put his stamp on the team. If we are being honest, half the side that started today are not good enough and he has a month to put this right. Can only assume he was guaranteed some funds in Jan, let’s see where we are then.
