I really like the look of him - got a huge future ahead of him. I would 100% keep him in the 1st team squad this season. I don’t think he’s physically ready to play week in week out however we should be able to give him the minutes he needs to help him progress.

We should not be selling Alves. He needs a season playing week in week out to build his fitness. He’s got a big future with us still imo.

Ideally we sell VK, Faes, Winks and Daka before Monday and bring in someone who can play LB/CB, a starting CM and two strikers. If we can do that with keeping BEK we would be left with a great squad.

All others I’ve seen have been right backs.

Worth remembering that we’re yet to replace Vardy and both Ayew & Daka are out of contract at the end of the season. We will need to sign 3 strikers over the next three windows.

Hopefully this means that no clubs outside of Saudi are interested in him and we can earn a few extra quid. Any potential club is going to be put off by the fact he’s now done this at two clubs. What a tool.

This will come down to who blinks first imo. If a mid-bottom PL side either lose a player or suffer an injury he may well get the sort of salary he’s looking for. If not, he will have to adjust his demands to get some interest. I wouldn’t want to risk a high salary on a long term deal for a player who’s had 1 good season in the Championship. If we got rid of Winks convinced Brownhill to come here on £40k (ish) I wouldn’t be against it. Any more than that and it’s a huge risk.

If VK goes too we’re still left with Ricardo, Choudhury, Thomas, Coulibaly and Aluko. Ideally VK and Woyo leave and we sign a starting left back

I can see Forest only wanting him on loan. If we can ship him out we need to find a big, strong, rapid, left footed full back to replace him.
