  1. But we need to celebrate with them because FAMILIES, Gamble. Good god man think of the FAMILIES 😅
  2. Great defender of the club steps in as usual. Of course they are, but surely even you, one of the ardent KPFC lot, should understand the sheer volume of people on that pitch yesterday was a complete joke? It was hundreds of people and hangers on. Someone even said Abdul has his PT with him. Come on now.
  3. Honestly one of the reasons I left as soon as the massive cohort were released to join the players yesterday. Diluting the actual people we want to appreciate and celebrate with. Absolutely sure everyone there is having a good time now (maybe not the pathetic DJing and MC) but it really wasn't for me.
  4. Can we please not forget that this isn't "The Premier League" it's the Premier League members. The rules are what the members vote for. If 2/3 go with it then it happens. Richard Masters doesn't dictate down, he gets dictated to. I'm not saying it's right, I'm not saying the top clubs aren't strong arming other clubs stuff through, but the tin foil bullshit on here and elsewhere that a few men in a room are telling the 20 member clubs what to do is sheer nonsense.
  5. The TV director will not hesitate and will not stop cutting to sad-looking clowns, oompa loompas or dinosaurs if we're losing or lost the game and it still really matters to us
  6. God those fourth and fifth goals especially. Just thrilling tbh
  7. It's also even more impressive as this is the second season in a row where they've had a monumental fight to go up when in any other season they'd have cruised to promotion. Look at League One last season. (Even though they went up last year) it must be so frustrating for your team to finally become a roaring success after years, but have to fight tooth and nail to achieve it in successive seasons.
  8. I'd agree with the begrudging option. Also agree that if it was £15 the % would be way higher. I don't want to pay it on principle but I really want a card, I prefer a card and the reasons for trying to shift us away from cards are not built in any decent foundations. If it was for a noble cause, for a righteous reason it'd be fine. But all claims made are utter horseshit. I'll probably pay it but like others I'll make sure the club don't see a penny from me in other areas. Concourse, shop etc (They'll of course see it in over-inflated booking fees). Like many this is just another example of the disillusionment many of us feel with the club. Corporate, unaccountable, making up lame reasons to justify their actions. Ever more disconnecting from people.
  9. Not long until a referee gets hurt because clubs are increasingly empowering warped fans with this conspiratorial rhetoric. Clubs will then note their shock and condemnation despite being fully complicit in enabling these actions.
  10. Clearly my views on the scrapping of FA Cup replays fall into this thread, based on the reaction over the last couple of days. Feels very lonely on this island
  11. Have railed against my disdain for cinema's before. Went to see Argylle (4/10 very repetitive) in February, first time in four years I'd been and someone toddled in just as the film started with a two-year old. Of course his attention span did not last a 15-rated film lasting two hours, so he was whining and moaning after around 45 minutes.
  12. I took a look on the Tigers forum about pricing a while ago. Notwithstanding that forums are not the most reliable place to look, but so many seemed to justify the rises and lap it up, akin to the KPFC-ites here. I guess with an older, loyal fanbase and the stereotype that most have good disposable income means it's easier for them, but it just highlights that fandom like that really isn't limited to football.
  13. This Dele stuff is a fine reminder that people's memories are usually absolute horseshit. LCFC did a League Cup documentary a few years ago, and I think it was Elliott or Taggart talking about the second round game against Palace that finished 3-3 with Zagorakis in goal. One of them said that result took it to a replay which we won. It was a second leg, not a replay. They'd forgotten the whole bleedin' structure of the competition. Whether it's the idealising Filbert Street atmosphere, player performances or other team's results so many let the narrative or emotion get in the way of the reality. Several times I've had to listen to Leicester fans talk nonsense about something that's just patently untrue because they've misremembered it into a new "fact." Dele's done similar here. What he's said is a great story to tell when recounting 2015/16. It's a better narrative than "We weren't actually that close in reality and we were the ones who failed to capitalise on the rare slipups, like when they drew 2-2 with West Brom or 2-2 with West Ham." But essentially that's all it is. A story. Thankfully it's just so damn easy to fight off that narrative with facts. Point is, people's memories and eagerness to push narrative will lead to these fables. Whether that's cynical or a mistake is another thing.
  14. The Totally Football Show podcast do this as well, insisting on piping in TV/radio commentary clips before they talk about a match. Grates on me every time and gets the instant 30 sec skip on my podcast player.
  15. Ask Guillem Balague. I'm sure he'll tell you it was something inspired
  16. Reminds me of that midweek round in 15/16 when we drew with West Brom at home, only for both Arsenal and Spurs to lose their games so we got away with that bad result. We felt deflated but we're ultimately given a reprieve. Must take advantage of it now!
  17. IDK why some of our fans love to use "inexperience" as if it's a get out. There's a similar narrative about Top. We've been consistently one of the top 20 teams in England over the last decade. It might be a "hot take" but I don't think we should be a breeding ground for people to learn their trade. Either we think they're good enough to manage/lead us or not. This sport, at this level, does not allow time for "inexperience."
  18. I kept quiet for most of this season cos every time I came on this forum and someone mooted the style of football they were pounced upon. I found the football really dull and matches dreary from quite early on, but this place made me feel like a dinosaur tbh. However, there was also some realisation from me that I would saddle up and get on board - after all we were making a mockery of the league. That being said, the point of my post is that it was understandable for people to be fully fledged Enzo-ites. We swept the first portion of the season and ultimately results matter. We were well clear and sauntering back up. We'd be promoted already and on course for record totals if we'd kept that early form up. How can people not get swept up in that?
  19. Not very loyal to my team, admittedly, but I can't believe I missed those two matches last night for the guff I had to endure live from The Den. Watch both of tonight's end 0-0 now
  20. The worst thing, and most telling thing, about the £47 Leeds tickets silliness is that instead of an attitude of "yeah fair these prices are insane, our club need to change this" from Leeds fans, they immediately engage in whataboutery of reciprocal pricing and the plethora of other arsehole arguments they use to defend their club for the prices.
  21. If nothing else, being able to enjoy it in the stands would be nice. Both 2013/14 (promotion, I know the title was confirmed at Bolton) and 2015/16 were secured mathematically whilst we were all at home or in the pub.
  22. Not to mention we were probably lucky to end up with the owners we did. He sold Portsmouth to someone accused of asset stripping Portsmouth, leading to a chain of events that led to their financial decimation, and then sold Sheffield Wednesday to Dejphon Chansiri; a tetchy man who refuses to invest more because he's made multiple bungles in his ownership time.
  23. "This theory isn't based on anything and could actually be a complete fantasy but I'll post it and continue to spread it so it gets the traction desired." Super work
  24. I'm a bit puzzled why some people are getting all snooty at Brighton and their approach. Brighton look like they have a Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and probably even a Plan D. We threw the kitchen sink, forgot to plan for disaster and then hired a lawyer to try and get us out of the hole we got ourselves in. They're the in-flavour model and one suspects they will have planned and modelled for if the money dries up.
  25. Let's hope the new members joining on the back of this horrible financial situation means change within the mealy-mouthed relics running this trust. Honestly, every step forward you leap backwards. Emphasising an element of the club you're pleased with in the opening paragraph is a slap in the face to the horrors of what we've just been exposed to by this rabble. Looks like positive change is needed at both the club and within the trust. This softly softly approach has gotten you absolutely nowhere other than a few confidential meetings and a sense of self importance. You're making zero difference. Do better if you want to be seen as the leading fan group.
