With a number of players represented by an agency that we have a few dealings with already, and our links seem to be to players who's clubs are happy to get a deal done, you'd think it'd be relatively straight forward. ...but then, Rudkin. I've heard he doesn't work on Mondays
-
Him, Joao Rego, Rak-Sakyi and pull a decent goal scorer from nowhere and suddenly weve had a decent window.
-
I'm not saying I wouldn't have him, but I'm not sure he provides a goal threat. At least, not in Rennes colours. An upgrade on either of our current CM options, though. And will have resale value.

We need a new leader after having to reluctantly sell Coady.

LCFC 2-0 Birmingham, post-match thread
wardyfox86 replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Thought it was a great performance. Based on the players we have available, it was always going to be a bit laboured, but they were structured off the ball and didn't overplay (much!) Once the window closes and we've either replaced BEK or he knuckles down, we have a decent enough looking 11. A striker will be the difference between playoffs and midtable thpugh. -
All part of the game. Would rather we played a bit of brinkmanship, instead of just offering what the selling club want. Having said that, we'll somehow end up paying £12m
-
If Josh Brownhill can command £100k per week, with a straight face, and still bag a club then we've either picked the absolute worst or the absolute best time to be skint. Depending on how you look at it. Football needs turning off and on again...

When we're in League One, the 3 or 4 new signings we made will be the "high earners" and "crap we've had for years" Repeat until National League. There's no logic in wanting to fester for years. -
Wout Faes (Besiktas interest, Fabrizio Romano)

When Nigel was here we had some of the best tools in the business and just chucked them in a rusty old toolbox, but those tools built something special. Then we bought a nice shiny new toolbox and proceeded to fill it with some Aldi middle isle special buy spanners. Can have the fanciest training ground going, but we have lost all the good background staff that could best utilise it.

Leicester to appoint Martyn Glover as head of senior recruitment.

"Hi, Jon. So i used that scouting budget you gave me and managed to hop on a Megabus down into London. I wandered around aimlessly for a bit until I found a local park and some lads were having a kick about" "There was this half decent lad. I asked if I could speak to his agent and he said he didn't have one. Ace! Money saved! I asked him if he fancied joining the mighty foxes, but he just laughed and said "they're well sh*t bruv" and swiped my return ticket" "Can you come and pick me up?" -
Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)
wardyfox86 replied to lcfc_forever's topic in Transfer Talk
We need here and now players, we have enough potential coming through the academy. We don't need to be spending more on youngsters. Spend on staff, a decent comms team, repair the connection between club and fans. No player wants to be here because the place feels rotten. -

Didn't want to be here, that much was obvious at the weekend. Another case of club not matching the players ambition. It's getting to the point where we need 1 or 2 Championship sloggers in, ugh. -
We have great young talent already at the club, coming through the academy. We should be playing them as much as possible. They probably won't get us promoted but it'll drive their price up and show potential new players that there's a genuine pathway. It's trendy to be all doom and gloom at the minute, but we might be starting to see the fruits of our labour from Seagrave. They might not all be Jeremy Monga but if we can change some of these players we release on a free, to even £1m/£2m players then its a positive to build on.
-
Hopefully he can smack that kind of attitude into some of the players who seem to be of the opinion that we, as fans, must be blindly positive in order for them to put in decent performances.
-
We just desperately need anyone in that will not stand for players playing at 40-50% when they're on the pitch. A Granit Xhaka type.
-
Oh. Nevermond then, it's just a training kit
-
Yep, its alright. But I'm in the minority of thinking the leak looked nicer in the green and black with yellow badges (I know its obviously just a lighting issue) Without a sponsor its just a training top, hopefully the shorts are on the accent colour.

There's nobody left in the squad who truly, truly cares if we win lose or draw. It's full of Chamionship standard players on Premier League wages with Premier League egos. Nobody capable of looking in the mirror and owning the fact it's their lack of ability that's landed us here. So, they're all just looking at the exit door and blaming the guy next to them. Leadership isn't the issue, we just need players that are desperate for us to win.
-
I can't remember seeing a game pass so many players by, all in 1 go. Skipp McAteer Daka Thomas Soumare (did more than the others though) All may aswell not have turned up. Ayew comes on for a penalty and does that. I'll forgive the kids, but the above players are experienced. Players, fans, board, it just feels like nobody really wants to be here.
-
Oh dear...
-
Meh. Bigger fish to fry, nobody done themselves any favours if they think they're getting in the League side. Time for some signings.
-
Movement off the ball finding space has been awful. Picking your head up to make a pass has been awful. Passing in general has been awful. Ref has been awful. Proper early round cup game this, great half so far.
