Premier League, 2017-2018 Season Thread

Wait... Swansea signed Renato Sanches? -
There was another particular classic FT thread right above this one, so upon glancing at the main board, I read the title as: "vote for my nephew as the face of Tinder" I thought FT had hit a new low.

THEY'RE ACTUALLY IMPROVING CAREER MODE FOR ONCE.

Premier League, 2017-2018 Season Thread

Watford announced Andre Grey with Football Manager. The lines between FM and real life are becoming ever more blurred. Great idea, though. Gives us all the information we need. -
This and this. EA's neglect of the career mode is scandalous. Some people (myself included) don't play FUT, and would rather play career mode. And what do we get? Absolutely f**k all. Year after year, they're inundated with requests for a mode overhaul all over social media, and they end up adding one or two meaningless features that were probably implemented by some eighteen-year-old spotty intern developer over the course of an afternoon.

Saw this on Twitter.

Shame the game isn't cross-platform. Didn't even know you could do this, though. What are the benefits? What effect does it have on the game?

A friend of mine has just bought this on the XBone with Horizons and all of the DLC, spent the night sessioning it on Saturday. I enjoyed it. Ended up having to consult a LOT of YouTube tutorials, but upgraded the Sidewinder a bit, then started farming crims in the RES sites in nearby systems to the starting planet. Some of them getting us 150,000 credits a pop (with the help of the local feds) Earned about 1m credits in an a couple of hours once we'd figured out the best locations. Feels like we've only just scratched the surface, though - there's a LOT of information to take in, we haven't even gotten started with missions, factions and trading etc.

That's one big bird right there...

I'm not a PC owner, but I love space-sims. After the disappointment of doggo No Man's Sky I'd love to get stuck into one. Haven't had a decent one since Freelancer back in the day. I've heard it can get repetitive though, and the gameplay can be painfully slow - is that the case? It looks to be quite complex, too - do we think it'll translate over to consoles well? I've watched a gameplay video, and it looks OK.

Camilla deserves to be taken to a nice, five-star restaurant, treated to what she wants on the menu then lead outside; kissed on the cheek, told how beautiful she looks and what wonderful company she was before being lead to a taxi and made sure that she gets home safely.

Chris has got the intellect of an adolescent boy, and makes for amusing viewing. The incessant use of certain phrases gets on my tits sometimes: "Are you bantering?," "Pied her / him off," "Mugged him / her off," and "grafting" are particularly annoying. And why is EVERYTHING "on paper"? I really like Camilla, there's something really endearing about her despite being rather dull and I'd be sad to see her go. She's twice as smart as any of the others and I reckon she'd be pwopa nawty in the sack. Tyla's cute until she starts speaking. Montana's a BOBFOC. Olivia's pretty, but she's a head case. Not fussed by Amber or Gabby. In fact, I'd probably just find all of the girls really f**king annoying and end up with Marcel. He's a nice man.

Upcoming 2017/18 Games You Can't Wait For?
RoboFox replied to TiffToff88's topic in Music and Gaming
I don't own a next-gen console, or a gaming PC. As a lifelong gamer since 1989, I somehow managed to convince myself that my hobby productivity levels would increase if I didn't buy one. I now play hours-upon-hours of Football Manager to compensate, or just head over to my mates to sesh his XBone or PS4. If there's anything that will encourage me to invest, it'll be Red Dead Redemption 2 or Cyberpunk 2077. I LOVE anything cyberpunk and anything CD Projekt make is bound to be f**king good. -

"Theresa May's new partners in government have strong historical links with Loyalist paramilitary groups. Specifically, the terrorist group Ulster Resistance was founded by a collection of people who went on to be prominent DUP politicians. Peter Robinson, for example, who was DUP leader and Northern Ireland’s first minister until last year, was an active member of Ulster Resistance." Robinson on the left here (ironically) in paramilitary uniform. -

"Hi there, is that Conservative HQ? Your delivery driver here. The Palace have asked me to deliver a sh*t load of torn up Tory manifestos, problem is, my sat-nav is playing up. ...What road are you on again?" -
Welcome big 'Arry. Now for f**k's sake let's hope he never thinks to himself "Ooh, I think I'll have a read of Foxestalk, see what they're all saying about me"
-
Can't wait for tonight. Really hope we can score so I can be covered in sh*t loads of beer. Hopefully Nige's Mrs. has cause to bring out the free shots again. See you all down there!

Yeah man, absolutely rocking. Shame we couldn't get a goal, would've blown the roof off.

Would rather have Franck Moussa than Ahmed Musa.

Where even is that?

Still got my sunburst Squier strat from my learning days. It's knackered. I had a blue 50th anniversary American Strat that was a delight to play, but I had to sell it when I moved to London to fund an internship. Bought it from the US and sold it locally making a small fortune. Still got an Epiphone G-400 Custom, it's a replica of a 1961 Les Paul Custom. It's a nice all-rounder. I have a gorgeous jet black resonator acoustic, too. Probably the guitar I play the most. I pretty much haven't really played at all in about six years, instead I just sit in front of Logic twiddling knobs. *winks* I was considering buying a new one to get me playing again, but they're f**king expensive.

Poor TV pundits with sh#te opinions

I like Shearer. I like Neville. Carragher is unbearably dull and any analysis is made even worse by the fact that we have to listen to it coming from inside Steven Gerrard's arse. Savage and Wright don't take themselves too seriously which makes their crap analysis moderately bearable. Merson's just thick. Le Tissier. Meh. Keown's analogies are bizarre, but he knows what he's on about. Jermain Jenas is a Tree, and about as wooden. Danny Mills, on the other hand, is an egg-headed spunktrumpet.
