  1. Brentf are better than palace But if we get some luck then anything is possible - think Bournemouth, think West Ham. Just need mads to get back to form and their strikers to have a mare
  2. Bullied? the kid can do as he wants in the summer
  3. How much of the club is owned by KP ? could be smoke and mirrors re where the money is from but the conversion of debt for equity was moot because they were never getting the debt repaid.
  4. From what we’re told, woyo is a physical specimen who is super fit. We play a system where one of the full backs has to get up and down the whole game. JJ struggled with this and VK looked shot last Saturday late on. Maybe woyo can cope with it which could mean the left back slot can be less stressful for whoever plays there. Ricky never looked happy on the right when played higher up as he was a player who liked to have the game infront of him and to run onto or with the ball. Perhaps he’s at a stage of his career where he can do that now and also cover effectively on transition for woyo if he goes too high.
  5. I reckon we’re playing 60k a week to him (if his bonus’ are10k/week (he won’t be getting any of them) then that means we’re in for 75% of his wages ) if we thought he was a 12.5m player then the loan fee of 2.5m stacks up and a salary of 60k in the PL is reasonable if he was any good then financially the deal is fine. But he’s crap
  6. Man City’s defending has been woeful but if mbappe is now going to be a proper player for Madrid then it’s going take a v good team to knock them out of the CL
  7. Plus they’ll have an attack arsenal scored two in ten minutes with a forward on the pitch (and I know he wasn’t a forward but he played like one as opposed to the players there before he came on)
  8. One down and bringing on a centre half and defensive midfielder is a new way of winning a game
  9. Yeah - we’ve probably agreed a buy option for 350k
  10. A lot is made of not putting too much pressure on young shoulders. That it can negatively affect youngsters to effectively say - ‘we’re going down unless you can rescue us’. Whilst youngsters are often fearless, I have no idea what the mentality of Evans and monga is and how they’d respond to playing and making no impression and us losing again.
  11. If its in Monaco then he’ll cope ………..
  12. Once we’re definitely down then I agree with this. But you’ll suddenly see academy kids playing then to give anyone doing that a guilt complex
  13. Nwaneri had been singled out by Arsenal’s academy for some time. He played 20 mins in the PL at 15 he played 13 mins at 16 plus 2 efl trophy appearances. He looks more than comfortable at PL level this season. theres a big difference between u21 football and men’s football. Evans has had one full 90 mins against notts county and did ok. I reckon we’ll see plenty of him next season but I also think that this next few months is just a bit too early for him. Once our fate is sealed I can see him getting some minutes from the bench.
  14. Nor was he sanctioned though ….. konate - that would be a crappy second yellow given he was looking at the ball the whole time. But we’ve seen them given!
  15. We’ve kick started his career - we should demand 20% of his fee to PSG …
  16. That’s horrendous
  17. I think what you see and hear inside the stadium is not necessarily reflective - it’s a pretty controlled environment for a number of reasons
  18. I think there are a large number of supporters who are unhappy but not prepared /minded / bothered enough to protest because they remember how it used to be ! we should have very competent people running the club but we don’t.
  19. Does anyone think that ?? I also don’t believe he realises the strength of feeling against those actually running the club across the fanbase. He thinks it’s just the noisy few.
  20. that seems a reasonable point but he probably attends half the games per season - I’m guessing that’s higher than the vast majority of PL club owners. He’d not planned to be here yesterday. Evidently he’s on holiday in Japan. He’s just not changing his plans because there’s a protest. he’s the owner. Whilst he cares for the club more than most owners he has other things in his life now. More important ones now he has a young family. I guess he doesn’t have the same irrational love for the club that we do. And I’m probably not being fair with that. turn the clock back to when you had new babies around - would you able to just take days off to travel distance to watch the team ? How would that go down with your missus? If he was skiing in the alps or the states then I’d have some truck with your point. But apparently he’s in Japan - a few hours from home. (And therefore he may have his family with him - I don’t know - it could just be a weekend away with his mates he hasn’t seen for a while ). as I said - slag him off for being crap in lots of things he’s doing re the club because, for now, that seems fair. But I can’t get behind the reason him not being there yesterday as being one of them.
  21. He’d been here for weeks (For the inquest) prior to the Everton game after which he flew back. . He doesn’t live here. he now has a young family and just flitting back to the U.K. isnt perhaps top of his ‘to do list’. last time we were in a relegation fight, he and the family attended lots of games in the run in. you can slag him off for lots of things but not being there today isn’t one of them imo
  22. Way too sensible to be a post on here
  23. He’s going to get many weeks of practice now …..
  24. Hope this doesn’t give them time to adjust their tactics cos for now we’re pretty comfortable
