I have bad news for you kel, wilf and janiick are leaving on frees in the summer souttar and VK will not bring in 80% of their original fees which means they are losses in ffp soumare needs to be sold for 8m+ before he is a negative entry on ffp daka needs to be sold 9m+ or he is a negative entry on ffp kdh is all profit on ffp - that’s why everyone is talking about his sale -

Was about £28m and we took ayoze’s wages out and a chunk of Marc’s too Even amortised, the 28m is nearly -3m into the 22/23 accounts. I suspect any hearing would accept that given our position we couldn’t just sit on our hands and that outlay was not excessive. -

We will see the interest charges when the accounts are published in the next few weeks of course if things go really well between now and mid May, we might be quite happy for any PL points sanction to be applied this season ….. -

We certainly have mitigating circumstances ref any PL charge (depending on how big our overspend is) we don’t ref any possible efl charge. We know where we stand ref three year period ending this June and it’s up to us to manage our finances accordingly. Southampton sold a lot more players than we did last summer to ensure they didn’t break the rolling limits this summer. I suspect the furore now ongoing is that the leagues want to ensure we don’t just get promoted and cock a snook to the efl rules. (Taking a fine ). they want to avoid relegated clubs taking a view that they’ll risk not meeting efl rules to assist in bouncing straight back. Their job is to make sure that clubs don’t take liberties with their finances and risk their future. we are probably ensuring that the rules will change going forwards although even the likelihood of a PL points deduction on the back of EFL infringements wouldn’t deter clubs because the rewards of promotion are so great. clubs will continue to make the judgement that they can trade in June to work things out. -

Tony bloom has invested £400m into brighton king power have probably invested a similar amount into us but Tony bloom has invested in staff who are exceptionally capable we have, however, won trophies. But they are established premier league and likely to stay there whilst bloom is at the helm. -

The industry knows what’s going on that’s why Brighton low balled us for kdh in jan the premier league aren’t going to hide any charges that reflect any breaking of psr last season and that will be within the next month. Can’t reply to Jordan’s point until we see if any other efl club is called out before the end of the season ….. if they aren’t charged until next season then we do have a complaint. (Although our financial stresses are not a secret) -
Won’t be monumental. The previous season was monumental at 90m Infact it could be a small profit - just not enough profit to avoid the 105m aggregated over the past three seasons. Tbh, despite fofana and Maddison tfer profit income of around 70M, you’d be struggling to work out how we’d make a profit on the basis of the 90m loss the season before. Does anyone know how we managed to lose such a huge amount of money 21/22 ?

Just as our admin forced rule changes, so will this episode There will be some kind of link up between epl and efl rules so that pl sanctions can be applied in the efl the football world should thank us 😄 -
It’s not a simple as the loss on the accounts. there are a lots of costs which are allowable and must be deducted I have no idea what southamptons situation was the two previous seasons And did they make many of their summer sales pre July ? If not then that possibly puts them in a difficult place re the prem but ok re the championship

Unless there was a deal in the pipeline which fell through for ward, the explanation must lie in the wages. either ward didn’t have a relegation clause or it was in his interest to hang around so that he would be eligible to receive his inflated PL level wage paying again come this summer if we went back up this summer he will only have a year left so it’s odd that he would hang around on that basis. (Especially with a euros this June

Could it be argued that bazball might not be the best approach on the very dry and dusty wickets in the sub continent?? -
Here’s a thought we get promoted we are subsequently found guilty of breaking EFL psr. they cannot sanction us with points so they fine us. ipswich finish third and fail to get promoted via the play offs are Ipswich able to sue us for PL monies based on this ? Perhaps this could be the reason why we were rumoured to have dropped our interest in taking Everton to court for damages? Assuming we do go up I suggest we all get behind the team finishing third in the play offs !!!!!

if you knew we were desperate for money, would you pay 35m for kdh ? JJ would likely bring in around £10/15m if he doesn’t have any further injury issues neslon is not exposed enough to bring in more than about £10m imo Faes has £9m left on his amortisation this summer. We wouldn’t get more than £12/15m for him so that’s a possible 6m in the plus column Mads had approx 5m left on his fee. I suppose we could get £15m somewhere which brings in 10m jakub - all profit but surely no one is paying more than £3/5m for him (and that being generous) Without knowing for sure, my suspicion is that sponsorship deals run to end June ref ffp to be in line with everything else. I would be astonished if we could make deals for 24/25 and include the income in psr accounts for 23/24.
