Someone needs to sit him down and explain that if we don’t go up then the club is so screwed and it will largely be down to him - he’s our best player. Let him know that just like madders, his legacy will be our failure. but madders isn’t a local boy and kdh will never be able to escape that feeling. Somehow he needs to be motivated to really care and not just think he cares. He has 8 games left in a blue shirt to make it count.

We were about 125m for the previous two seasons so that would mean a loss approx 75m for last season pretty sure that would mean Maddison fee would be in 23/24. those numbers are losses rather than psr numbers

I was referring to the accounts to end June 23 rather than end June 24 which don’t need to be filed until end March 25 and advised to the efl by nov 24.

First feared? by who ? They were given to the efl a month ago together with our management accounts for this season. The reaction of the Pl and EFL this month has shown they must have been pretty grim. I wonder if we’re allowed to change them once we’ve passed them over? I mean we may have decided to go big last season to try and get as much news out there as early as possible. You can amend your accounts right up until you file them. Perhaps we decided that as we’ve been charged by the epl we may as well put a bigger chunk of amortisation into last year.

Confidence and bravery on the ball to make the quick pass and create space both gone

Our tactics have been completely sussed to make them work with the opposition pressing one for one requires our players to be confident and brave sadly two things lacking an old head like warnock worked us out early on and played aggressively that way at Huddersfield. Due to the poor standard of finishing at this level we got away with it. Now we are so far into the season there are plenty of examples how to counter our approach and opposition coaches can show their players that there’s nothing to fear. the only way this changes is for us to regain our mojo or change our tactics. Given the pressure we’re after, I’m not sure how we manage that now because enzo won’t change the tactics and we won’t get our mojo back without a couple of wins.

Yeah - we should play someone who’ll be here next season like praet or younus …..

I admire his approach to the game but he needed to recognise some time ago what was going on and change needed to be made to allow us to regain momentum that stubborn streak will cost him his job and other clubs will look at this and be concerned. No doubt judging that his inexperience has led to that.

Looking at the way we’re playing I’m beginning to wonder if this financial stuff has had and is continuing to have an impact.
