  1. The price of cocoa isn’t the same as cpi Cocoa increased by 35% from 2003 to 2019 CPI increase 2003-2019 is 43% so it’s even worse than the graph shows however, since 2019, cocoa has increased far more than cpi so today’s Freddo price of 37p isn’t so terrible 😄
  2. I was under the impression that the greens are hard which is why I said what I did. If they’re soft then yes, it wouldn’t matter much. the rough I’ve seen (away from the first and second cut) looks pretty deep. EDIT: 6mm rain overnight so they won’t be too firm today. Got to make the most of scoring conditions today and tomorrow - hot and sunny sat/sun so the course will become more difficult out of the rough as the greens firm up.
  3. Not convinced of the n Korea angle surely you’d have an option to move stuff by road or rail to Vladivostok (maybe waiting till spring because of the weather ) secondly, a shipment of that sensitivity - why send through the med when that means having to transit through the Suez Canal and bab el Mandab (which was at that time full western navy’s and risk of attack from houthis with operation prosperity guardian ongoing). you’d surely send on the longer transit around the cape. if it was for Iran or n Korea then I’m amazed they’d send it through the med.
  4. 45gram Cadbury bar in my corner shop last week 99p this week 89p I needed a sit down when I saw
  5. It might have brushed his hand but he hasn’t made his silhouette bigger and his arm is affected by contact with the Celtic player it wouldn’t even be a review in a European tie and the pundits aren’t even discussing it because they know it’s all good for the broadcasters to have the showdown at Celtic park
  6. Sky are delirious can’t even hide it
  7. Trying to control approach shots onto those greens out of heavy rough will be impossible we can reconvene this conversation tomorrow evening!
  8. So the PGA starts tomorrow need to find someone reliable off the tee because the rough is deep Scottie, young and fitzy for me
  9. Really ? I mean that’s such a low bar
  10. If there was no advantage to be gained then it wouldn’t happen
  11. Probably could have done with being a series. he matured as a player a lot after 15/16 and this doc just didn’t have time to go there and do him justice in that regard almost like they ran out of money and time !
  12. Those who say that there is no conflation again it depends on their Judaism A 2024–2025 survey by the Institute for Jewish Policy Research (JPR) shows British Jews maintain a strong emotional attachment to Israel (77%), yet hold overwhelmingly critical views of its government, with 76% disapproving of Netanyahu and 74% rating Israel’s overall situation as "bad" or "very bad" So the vast majority of British Jews are zionists but have no truck with the current govt. I think that an big issue here is that the term Zionist has been bastardised over the past few years from its definition that Jews are entitled to self determination and a state in their ancestral homeland.
  13. it depends what it means to the person shouting it - there are some who want freedom from occupation for those living in Gaza and the West Bank and some who want a one state democracy and some who want the area rid of Jews. it’s a vague chant - you’d assume deliberately so im sure some will offer other interpretations so some of that spectrum is antisemitism if it effectively denies the Jewish people’s right to self determination under the IHRA definition See above Sunil. Getting some people to be honest about what it means to them would be tricky. you’d assume if it’s being shouted in the face of a Jew then it’s from one end of that spectrum
  14. I’ve seen a few grim comments from some standing and some elected. none are for saying something ‘reasonable’ like that social media means that there are so many skeletons in so many cupboards
  15. Are you sure about that ? I think that he thinks he’s doing a good job in a difficult environment that’s the problem!
  16. They’ll be livid when they realise it’s not the same menu ……
  17. Found it interesting that Thomas picked up a bit with a full back managing him. Maybe Rowett got into him a bit, helped with positional advise and also asked him to cut back a bit on his alcohol intake.
  18. Mahmood apparently now pushing for Starmer to declare a leaving date the writing was on the wall after the mandelson debacle in the commons - once you lose your authority then you’re politically toast
  19. No idea ? suppose they’d have to be in a vote box I mean it just sounds so dodgy that I can’t believe it’s true. EDIT: read a bit more and they weren’t found outside of the original vote count. The complaint is that how come they were missed the first three times the vote was counted and seemed to have appeared after the weekend on Mondays recount.
  20. Story doing the rounds that a Birmingham council seat was won by 6 votes 2 recounts - same result today the returning officer found 7 undiscovered and uncounted labour votes for the 3rd recount the labour councilor at risk was is the leader of brum council surely has to be nonsense ??
  21. Watch all the Leeds players with World Cup commitments check out of 50/50 tackles
