Really need to go the extra mile for this. Cannot keep buying wingers that have occasionally played as a centre forward which happened last year.
-
Exactly. I’m hoping Leicester are looking at Ivanovic as well having lost Vardy and Cannon. Millwall seem to be looking for a replacement. Perhaps one more sale and we can get both.
-
Surely Ivanovic who is just 20 and well over 6ft with a proven record last year in the Championship is a safer bet and investment.

Curious why the German club want to sell after a short time

Bilal El Khannouss (Stuttgart loan, official)

Loan with an obligation isn't going to help much this season. I think he may still end up at Palace but if not maybe Spurs or West Ham who will be watching events unfold. -

To be fair playing in Saudi Arabia might be something to consider to boost your pension but not as his age. I get the impression that the BEK sale is the the transfer budget so it is a bit of a dilemma for the club but anything over £30M = sell on sounds decent . If Leicester keep him and he is unhappy his value could drop if we are not careful. -
That would something of a record. Getting 2 goalkeepers and no outfield players in a transfer window

Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)

We have raised £50m so far. I'd like a few players properly lined up before anyone else goes out. Can just see it getting to the last day still short of a striker, couple of midfielders and maybe a defender -
I don't think a transfer fee would be an issue if the club is allowed to spend. But I think from a brief search he is one of Feyenoord highest paid players and if I were in his shoes I wouldn't want to take a pay cut or a short contract to move countries. Loan would be OK.

This is the picture Palace want to paint. Reminds me of West Ham and Mads move. Put this on hold and then hope Leicester are desperate enough to accept £20 million plus add ons deadline day. At that price I'd keep and hope BEK can settle down to a year in he Championship. -
If funds are as tight as they seem should Leicester be looking at a player with recent fitness issues and top wages. Celtic seem to have rued him out
-
Would rather go for someone up and coming either a striker or attacking central midfielder.

Leicester are being messed about. Paid a lot of money for Ayew and barely got a game out of Edouard last year. Bilal is a very valuable asset still very young so please Palace no diversionary tactics -
James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)

Not bad at all. Surely Leicester can get some players in woefully short of goal scorers in the side. -
Perhaps the EFL have indicated they would take a more lenient view towards loans than transfers, or without the BEK sale there is still not enough leeway to make permanent signings. It would be nice if Leicester could get say a striker in on loan/option now rather than taking everything to the wire.

Charlton 0-1 LCFC, post-match thread
Edingleyfox replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
That's sarcasm from their manager. In fact it was a Fatawu classic - we have seen 3 or 4 of those since he has been with the club. -
Looked good when he came on his close control and passing is a lot better than the other options. If he stays should surely be starting
-
Got an assist today. Otherwise drifted in and out of the game

Wasn’t great but Jakub and Hamza immense -
Hamza really good would take Okoli off
-
Fantastic save but Leicester being dominated in midfield not much of a surprise.
-
By leaving out WInks, Faes and BEK it will at least demonstrate to the owners /hierarchy what needs to be done in the next week if they go. Just hope that is the managers logic.
-
Very worried about the combinations of centre backs and midfield. Even Sheffield Wednesday caused massive problems in the first half with that set up. Perhaps it is forced on the manager players that are off not wanting injuries etc. Hope the youngsters do OK both have great potential.
-
I’m curious on what basis he was offered a four and a half year contract. But then you probably say the same about a number of players just wonder how much homework gets done.
-
With 9 new players Charlton will be fresh and driven. Leicester have looked lethargic and slow and if that happens they will get punished.
