Honestly, my expectations are so low I can see that I will be pleasantly surprised by some early performances before the true reality sets in after a couple of months and we are deep in the slog of a relegation battle.
-
Clear run at Jordan Ayew now.
-
One element of Cooper’s career I like is his youth coaching. Maybe someone to unlock the academy a bit more?
-
I don’t think he is necessarily asking for a load of money to strengthen the squad - just some transparency about where we are and what we can do. Its clear Sensi was about to join until the last minute and there is no way the club would have briefed him that yeah we might get a load of points deducted and a transfer embargo because we are inept.

Back at 2am, up at 6. CHAMPIONS AGAIN OLE OLE ringing in my ears… I love football.
-
Ironic cheers were good as they actually started hitting the pass afterwards having been allergic to it for weeks.
-
More interested in Norwich being 4/1 to win on Monday. That seems insane.

QPR home pre-match thread, 3pm Saturday.

Management of resources will be interesting over the next few games. My preference would be to pick what you think is your strongest and fittest possible side for Saturday and get it won and reassess on tuesday. -
Superb. Engine is unreal, looked fitter than the subs on both teams.
-
Would be funny if after some of the horror shows we’ve had there in recent years we rock up with the under 18s and win. We won’t and it’s disappointing we won’t be giving it a proper go but understandable.
-
We’ll get punished for mistakes more but also more teams will press higher and we can play around to create more chances. Will be some painful goals conceded but hopefully some lovely goals scored like the second at Watford!
-
3-0 win. Second gear. Mavididi, KDH and Daka. Stadium Atmosphere thread hot.
-
Best first touch I have ever seen - Leicester or otherwise.
-
Remember Sir Alex calling Kante the best player in the country in like December?
-
Score first and we dictate the game and win. I do fear them on the transition and Ndidi’s energy and physicality will be a miss but still fancy us. 2-0 (Fatawu, KDH)
-
This smacks of a 2-0 win never getting out of first gear.
-
I am heading straight from work in London to this game and will have my laptop bag with me. Is this allowed under current draconian stewarding? Or will I need to find somewhere to stash it?
-
Aside from the distribution which is always going to divide fans in this country regardless of overall success - he’s made some brilliant point winning saves this season! He’s a top keeper in all areas, absolute bargain.
-
Can be untidy and frustrating at times, but can’t massively argue with the output - similar to Barnes in that respect. 5 goals, 3 assists after 10 games - he’s on track for insane numbers by the end of the season.
-
Agreed he was very good when he came on and showed that he offers a lightly different dimension to that left sided defender role. Feels like we have so many different options for almost all positions - allows us to change the game without massively deviating from the plan.
-
Very exciting talent. Could tell after HT we were hitting him more often
-
Literally laughing at some of the movements he was making today. Prime Iniesta in there - Maresca is a genius
-
In a weird position where I have no idea what the team will be but I don’t mind.

Yeah agreed I hate nepotism like that in football and as much as I like Pearson I think there is some justice if it ends up being your downfall. Hopefully Rodgers ends up in prison at some point. -

James Pearson getting his ringpiece licked has always been a great sliding doors moment for us winning the league. But the alternate reality does interest me insofar as what would Pearson have done with us moving forwards? Established PL club? Trophies? He laid the groundwork and it would be fascinating to see if he could have built further. I’ll just console myself with the league title however.
