I thought he looked much more direct today. Him and JJ the only ones on it.

I still rate him. He just seems to be overthinking it a bit, which is natural for a young player getting his first taste of first team football in a team in awful form. A few times today he could’ve took a shot on but tried to lay someone else off instead.

Mavididi is an absolute shell of the player he was 2 years ago. The guy who used to curl them in for fun from the edge of the box now looks frightened to even look at the goal.

Quite impressed with his first 2 games. He seems to have instilled a bit of solidity and fighting spirit into this soft group of pricks. Tactically not as much of a dinosaur as I first feared either.
