  1. Would that be the station on Belgrave Road, around where B&M is now?
  2. Just discovered that my GP surgery has me down as an 'Ex Smoker'. I have asked them to correct this as I have never smoked in my life. I'm informed they cannot change it! All they could do is, I'm told, is add a note elsewhere on my records stating that it is incorrect.
  3. If defending a one goal lead going into the last 10 minutes, I would rather see us launching the ball into row z than trying to pass our way out of defence or trying to be clever with back heels and so on.
  4. Small mercies. At least this thread has been free of a, 'At 80 mins, I lumped a tenner on us losing 3-1. Quids in. ' I despise those selfish fecking posts. Sorry. Still fuming......
  5. I would go quite strong in this. Is JV likely to be fit for this? If so, play him. At least off the bench. Vesty might as well play now Albrighton would be in for me too and then a liberal sprinkling of other starters from tonight. It would give them a chance to get tonight's bizarre result out their system.
  6. Glad I'm not the only one. I threw the remote that hard into a big bean bag we have, it took me a minute to dig it out.
  7. Crap finishing. Awful officials. Bad luck. You aint gonna win in those circumstances.
  8. Always thought appraisals were a waste of time and that piece gave it the ridicule it deserves.
  9. When I attended Charles Keene College, we used to go to a lunchtime strip show there. After one 'show', I was chatting to my mates when there was a tap on my shoulder. A lady said excuse me. I turned to see it was the stripper, still starkers though carrying her discarded costume. Poor thing had to push through us to get changed in the ladies loo.
  10. Well, if any complacency was creeping in with the players and fans, then that should put to bed any more casualness between now and the end of the season no matter who we play.
  11. Bit like Christmas, but with Noel.
  12. Trying to be released again.
  13. We are on a 17 game unbeaten run, in the league. Everyone knows the Cov defeat was a cup final.
  14. I agree too. Also, the exact same criteria should be applied to drivers who don't use their indicators
  15. Eight episodes I understand? More than once then?
  16. Remember when strong men would demonstrate their strength by tearing phone books in half? Well, you too can now achieve this.
  17. It does look congested but access one of those tracking websites and zoom in and suddenly there appears loads of space. Sure, around airports it increases dramatically, but aircraft colliding whilst in flight is incredibly rare, even more so these days. You know what they say; you are far more likely to be involved in an accident travelling to catch your flight.
  18. I take your point and perhaps I've watched too much Yes, Minster, but these thing have and will continue to happen, where institutions use their influence and other 'means' to get what they want. I would include esteemed learning institutions in that.
  19. I didn't of course, but I guess loads will Google what piamh means.
  20. Doesn't matter. They will be requesting permission re student accommodation. Who grants this permission? Wheels within wheels......
  21. He doesn't do this now, as far as I'm aware, but for the first few months of he being on 606, he would often deride callers opinions by asking if they have ever played professional football. Of course the answer was no, so he would then dismiss their views/arguments. BBC should have got rid then.
  22. Couldn't agree more. It is ridiculous how much student accommodation is being created in our city. There is a crying need for actual housing, yet so many existing buildings and even brown field sites are given over to student needs. Hopefully it isn't the case, but if it transpired many years hence, that local politicians were receiving brown envelopes from the local universities, I for one wouldn't be surprised
