We do need an experienced keeper as backup to Jakub when Mads goes. It’s better to sign a free agent for this and use the funds on positions that we need most. So wouldn’t be against this one.

Even Ayew, BDR, Vestergaard and Coady who we’d struggle to move on would be decent squad players in the championship. Then add in some of our youngsters like Alves, Braybrooke, Monga, Evans etc we will hopefully do well.

I know we’re a bit light on the wings but I’d personally send Mcateer out on loan for the rest of the season too. If he can get regular minutes in the championship I think that’ll only benefit him and us.

Not getting a penalty for that handball in the league cup semi final at Villa still annoys me. I’m sure it came out VAR looked at the wrong clip too which makes it worse.
