Bad eggs shipped out and replaced with players on an upward trajectory. Keep Pereira and Vardy for experience - everyone else 27+ can leave for whatever we can get for them. GK: Jakub / New RB: Ricardo / New LB: Woyo / Thomas CB: Souttar / Nelson CB: Okoli / New MC: Skipp / Golding MC: New / Braybrooke RW: Fatawu / McAteer LW: Mavididi / Munga / Briggs AM: El Khannouss / Alves CF: New / Evans / Vardy El Khannouss will probably want to leave but I'd love to see him in the Championship. Could be tricky with wages, but I really hope Faes, Soumare, Coady and Reid leave the club. At least we can be confident Ward and Edouard won't be stinking the place up after May... surely??

Ex Players - They used to play for us
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
Joe Dodoo always makes me think of this Seems like he made a decent enough career for some good clubs in the 3rd tier. Strange that he hasn't had a club between the age of 27-29... hopefully he makes the most of this new opportunity. -
Love the optimism but in reality I think it would be at most: - £30m for Mads - £12m for Ndidi - £8m for Soumare The rest we'll be lucky to shift on their wages, so it'll probably be they stay or get loans. The other sellable assets are probably Bilal (25m) and Kristiansen (10m). Maybe somebody would take a chance on Fatawu but coming off a big injury I'd be surprised.

Plane Banner - Liverpool at home.

All for people expressing themselves how they like and I hope others respect me in the same way. I can't get behind 'King Power Out'. They continue to invest in the club - £80m odd spent last summer, after years on years of spending more than we recouped, writing off debts and investing in local charities. Yes almost all of that recent spend has been wasted, but it's the people making the decisions on who to buy we should criticise, not the guy signing the cheques. There is definitely accountability needed for Top and his family, he has shown far too much loyalty and faith in poor appointments. I think we should be focusing our efforts on getting those executives changed, not calling for new owners. I'm sorry but it also feels crass to be sending a message like that in the airspace where the man's dad lost his life in service to the club. -
I hope you're right, but why are you so confident?

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'm sure this is preaching to the converted but something has to change even if just to show that 14 losses out of 15 and 7 home losses in a row without scoring is unacceptable. However, I have so little confidence that a worthwhile person would be appointed I want deeper changes before giving a new contract to a new manager. 1. Sack Rudkin / whoever is making board decisions 2. Appoint their replacements 3. Get them to do a genuine root and branch review, and if they so decide bring in a new manager. Saying that, RVN has checked out so we might as well as put an interim in charge til the end of the season. -

This team should have Wasilewski - and he should be captain!

The rot was in place long before RVN came. Saying that, he's done literally nothing to stop it, and persisting with the same failing players and system suggests he either has no clue or has lost interest and wants to get sacked. What a shambles.

Has anyone ever felt less bothered?
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
It doesn't even feel like I'm watching the club I support any more. I'm surprised by my own apathy. I've seen plenty of relegations but this one feels different. I dislike almost every player, which is a feeling I've never had before. Maybe I've been spoiled by success but I don't think that's it. I still love plenty of our past crap teams and crap players. This just doesn't feel like the club I love exists any more. i know that feeling will be back one day, and I'll never stop supporting the club however long it takes I happen. Could be a long road ahead. -
Pretty sure this will be the club's lowest points tally in history. This is the worst it's ever been, relative to the division.

4-2-3-1 isn't going to keep us up. Probably nothing will but may as well role the dice and try something new. I reckon it's worth trialling 5 at the back to see if it brings out the best in Coady and 3 in the middle to see what Skipp can offer. 5-3-1-1 Mads Woyo Coady Veste Okoli Justin/Thomas Skipp Ndidi Soumare BEK Daka

Yeah, Wolves are the only team who we can catch and they're much better than us. I accepted relegation after the Palace and Fulham home games. It's not worth stressing about but I'd like to show some fight and pride. TBF performances have improved the last two games, but it's still nowhere near good enough. I've got us down for 5 points from the remaining games - giving us a grand total of 22 points. ****ing hell. Brentford (h) - draw West Ham (a) - loss Chelsea (a) - loss Man U (h) - loss Man C (a) - loss Newcastle (h) - loss Brighton (a) - loss Liverpool (h) - loss Wolves (a) - loss Southampton (h) - win Forest (a) - loss Ipswich (h) - draw Bournemouth (a) - loss

We’ve got 1 squad space free - who are you signing?
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot replied to Sly's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agreed. But Viktor Kristiansen and Luke Thomas are so shit I just want another option -

Looking at Transfermarkt very little appeals. Ex-Man U, Norwich and Ipswich full back Brandon Williams has been without a club since the summer. Probably because he's rubbish but he can play LB or RB, still only 24. Seems like he could be worth looking at for a short term deal. -
Never understand the hate for this. It's just young people who had just seen an ex-colleague they got on with having a laugh. No offence but football fans can be so precious

Ex players who used to be linked with us
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot replied to HybridFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Nicky Maynard and Dean Windass were always linked with us. -
Don't put yourself through the stress - we're not signing anyone.

I think Skipp could be OK in a 3. Lacks the physicality to be in a 2. Tbh I'm struggling to muster any enthusiasm whatever way you manipulate this squad of players into an XI
-
Mads Justin Ndidi Coady Okoli Woyo Skipp Soumare Winks Bilal Vardy
-
TBF I think there's a decent argument. New faces: Skipp, El Khannouss, Okoli, Golding, Decordova, Ayew, Buonanotte, Edouard Out the door: Dewsbury-Hall, Praet, Iheanacho, Souttar, Akgun, Cannon

Chuba Akpom - "dropped out of the race"
LeePhilpottsBaldSpot replied to stu's topic in Transfer Talk
Horrible story but his cousin was a football coach in Leicester who was murdered 10 years ago. Used to play for Leicester Nirvana. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leicestershire-27055838 -
There are legitimate questions about his fitness, but he's clearly a good defender
