  1. Steve Cooper has exactly the same credentials. Carsley (or indeed Copper) would be good appointments in the summer before a Championship season. Not so much halfway through a Prem season that's started badly.
  2. Moyes is the obvious candidate. Bags of experience, has done well at similar sized clubs. When it goes well for him he stays for a decent stint which is what we need.
  3. Nice guy but it never worked out for him here. I thought he'd be decent as well. Forest supporting family members spoke of him so highly. Ah well, I called that one wrong. Onto the next one!
  4. Who cares? Yes the team has been poor recently, but remember that in 2024 they also won the league. They fully deserve a Christmas party, and I'm sure this was planned ages ago. The sign is a bit regrettable but at the same time they'd just seen a well liked former colleague that day. I wouldn't read into it more than that.
  5. Kramaric has played in a World Cup final TBF. Jonny Evans won the FA Cup. Tielemans and Barnes have played Champion's League, Maddison won a Prem player of the month. Bet none regretted missing the away day to Plymouth last season...!
  6. If they'll take it, Moyes or Potter. If not, Mark Robins. Or even Nigel Pearson til the end of the season would be preferable...!
  7. I liked the appointment and thought Cooper would do well here. Forest fans on my wife's side of the family loved him - very much their Nigel Pearson (who I think the world of). I also really don't like changing managers regularly. You can never know how a new guy will work out, and I've seen plenty of managers written off as flops come good here. Sadly even I've now lost faith in Cooper. The team is soulless. He seems to have no tactics or vision - and it seems like he's taking the club backwards. With no points deduction we could have brought in somebody far better, and probably still could. And if we go down, we'll inherit a massive points deduction from the EFL. I hate to say it, but the board should cut ties with Cooper before he leads us to a decade (plus) of regret.

  9. A fortnight is a long time in football I've never taken to Faes. Far too many mistakes and seems to have a bad attitude get him gone asap. Mad to think we went from Wes Fofana to Wout Faes in one transfer window
  10. Superb win. When the fixtures came out this was one of the runs of games I thought we need to pick up wins in. Because equally, there are full months where we could get no points. (h) Bournemouth WIN (a) Southampton WIN (h) Forest (a) Ipswich We definitely rode our luck against Bournemouth and from the highlights today was a ding-dong that could have ended 5-5. But you can't argue with the results. Now for 4/6 points from the next two games, please!
  11. Excellent performance yesterday, looks a good player.
  12. I'm biased as a friend's dad is a youth scout for the club, but I don't think this is fair. In recent years we've given plenty of opportunities to develop genuine talents (Barnes, Chilwell and KDH) and chances to those who really aren't that good (Thomas, Choudhury, McAteer). Historically our academy seems to have produced a disproportionate amount of good players. Plenty have gone on to have strong top flight careers (eg Heskey, Schlupp, King). I think we have just broken a record of something like 175 successive games featuring a home-grown player. Hopefully Alves gets a chance to start creating a new streak soon!

  14. I dunno, Villa and Spurs are both good teams (4th and 5th last season). Palace and Fulham both tricky places to go. Not beating Everton at home (and not really looking likely to) is clearly poor though.
  15. Hard to win a game when you're unemployed tbf
  16. I'm fully behind Cooper and find much of the criticism towards him completely over the top, but his complaining about the Palace goal is just embarrassing. I understand creating a siege mentality within a club, but this is more of a whingeing culture and will just make referees / the FA dislike us even more.
  17. Idk - Esteban Cambiasso, Kevin Phillips and Marcin Wasilewski all had good 'Indian Summers' with us during the Pearson era. There's a place for the odd experienced pro, though I do agree Coady seems to have offered us very little.
  18. Maresca has said he's ill.
  19. Oliver Skipp has plenty of upside. Looks old but he won the U21 Euros last summer!
  20. Mads Ricky Vestegaard Okoli Justin Skipp Winks Fatawu Bilal* Mavididi Edouard *Hopefully!
  21. Good player but we've got enough 30+ year old centre backs. Unless there's a way to shift Vestegaard or Coady to Saudi/Turkey, better to stick with what we've got.
  22. Probably, but we should be able to get a fair wedge at least
  23. Dreadful news. Great player but more importantly he seemed to be a great man. RIP
  24. They've signed Andy (phone) Booth
  25. I've got a sneaky feeling we're going to beat Villa. Mads Ricardo Faes Veste Justin Skipp Winks Ndidi Fatawu Ayew Mavididi Love Vardy but he should be an impact sub. Buenonatte looks great but I'd be worried of the midfield being overrun with a no10. Vardy and Bueno on for Ayew and Ndidi on 60 mins, Leicester win 2-1.
