  1. Amazing that people are turning their noses up at Moyes. He's by far the most qualified person for the job.
  2. At least it will be coherent and he has a proven track record of doing it successfully at this level. Him simply not being Steve Cooper is also a huge plus.
  3. Motes is the option for where we are right now. He will need to be backed in January because we don't have a Moyes squad.
  4. Mad that such a thing did not exist after we'd won the league and were finishing in the top half of the Premier League every season. I seem to recall that we used to have a club shop in the city centre over 20 years ago? I was only little at the time but I remember going in it as a kid. I think it was on Churchgate?
  5. I'm not sure if the people who are running our football club are incompetent or if they've just checked out. It's possible that both may be true.
  6. Nurses and teachers going on strike having the potential to cause a huge negative impact only shows how important they are to society. How else are they supposed to bargain for better working conditions?
  7. The absolute hypocrisy of so many people supporting the Farmers protest tomorrow. The same people putting their weight behind it are the same that want teachers and nurses to be banned from striking and want Just Stop Oil and Insulate Britain protestors in prison for blocking roads. You either support the right to protest or you don't. I fully support the right of anyone to protest peacefully, regardless of whether I feel it's a worthy cause or not.
  8. I'm concerned about his wellbeing at this point. I hope people back off a bit. The bloke has lost his career and all it has played out publically.
  9. I love a good rant, I'm not going to lie. However, sometimes I think all of us need to take a step back and remember what we've seen during our time following the club. In my lifetime we've won two league cups, the FA Cup, the Premier League, the charity shield and several promotions and seen great footballers like Vardy, Mahrez, Schmeichel, Cambiasso, Kante etc. All this in a period of football where provincial clubs like us haven't won trophies. Compare that to what it has been like following a club like Sheffield Wednesday in that same timeframe who have a big fanbase, a big stadium and have won major trophies several decades ago. They've been out of the top flight for 24 years, suffered many relegations to the third tier, and the best players Wednesday fans under the age of 32/33 have seen are the likes of Fernando Forestieri and Barry Bannan. You can still have a moan every now and then and want to hold those running the club accountable when things aren't great but ultimately we've had it good over the past 12 years and life's too short to get worked up about it when it's not going well. Just best to enjoy what time you have with your friends and family.
  10. We're all Wednesday today, right?
  11. They're just so small-time, aren't they? I've seen some of their fans say that they'd have stuck with him even if it resulted in relegation. They have a squad that should be challenging for the play-offs!
  12. I kinda do as well. I don't like Man City, but the rules are farcical.
  13. Irony being that Steve Cooper would be perfect for that job.
  14. Right decision imo. Seeing people lose their minds over it but that squad should at very least be pushing for the playoffs.
  15. Another defeat for Cov. Their next three games are Sunderland, Sheff United and Burnley. They could find themselves in real trouble.
  16. Burnley should be doing better with the attacking talent they have for the level. Scott Parker isn't a great manager.
  17. I love it though. It's entertaining.
  18. Currently 6th and 22nd are separated by just 7 points and we're nearly a third of the way through the season. What an absurd league.
  19. It's funny because it doesn't matter now, but I actually think we underachieved by not breaking the 100 points mark.
  20. This isn't arrogance either. I'm not saying that we have a God-given right to win the league comfortably because we're too big for the league or anything, but the quality of the league really isn't great and our squad should certainly not have lost 11 games.
  21. We should have ripped this league apart last season. The team we had compared to the rest of the league should have broken the points record.
  22. It's wrong that there's a statue of Vichai outside of the ground but not one for any player or manager.
  23. Him doing so 9/10 games into the season actually worries me. Certainly more than it would have done if he'd started the season with it. It shows that he doesn't have much confidence in whatever the hell it was he was trying to do previously.
  24. If you'll really think that I'm going to make an argument against him being the worst goalkeeper we've had at premier league level, then you are badly mistaken. However, he was not the reason we conceded five goals tonight. That is a sorry indictment of the rest of the team.
  25. I'd happily give Moyes longer than just this season. He didn't just keep West Ham up. He got them up the table, qualifying for Europe and won a Europeon trophy.
