It's the only way this club recovers. Time to go.
-
Difference is we were playing at the level above. Despite what I think of most of our players, they shouldn't look so out of their depth at this level.
-
Funny really because in his first 5 games or so at Bournemouth they looked really bad. Maybe it should serve as a reminder to us to not overreact to how bad we've been in the first two games under Marti so far?

Choudhury (Wrexham interest, Football League World)
BenTheFox replied to Sly's topic in Transfer Talk
I have often questioned how legit the Sunderland bid for McAteer really was. Surely even we couldn't have been daft enough to turn down what would have £10 million pure profit for him? -
Yeah, if this happens then surely we have some players coming in. This would leave us with three central midfielders at the club over the age of 16, two of them being Skipp and Soumare. That would be completely reckless.
-
I agree, it's counterproductive. We will get classified as a mob if we make it personal.
-
The 4-2 against Man Utd at home and Wolves at home under Smith are probably the only other two that come to mind for me.
-
And you would really struggle to count the number of good games he's had for us on two hands.
-
I was also there last night and I really don't think our away end was that bad, and I'm usually very critical of our support.
-
I remember some people slaughtering me when I said that Praet was miles better than Soumare. I'm not saying Praet was anything special but he was easily better than Skipp and Soumare.
-
Although obviously preferable to Skipp and Soumaré, that midfield is very lightweight.
-
Exactly this. He is being forced into a position where he's having to try and get the best out of Soumare and Skipp because we only have Winks as an alternative. We really need to get a few players in, but what's worrying is there aren't any suggestions that's happening.
-
I was really hoping he'd put his hand up to be in the starting 11 this weekend after Justin stunk the place out on Sunday. Unfortunately he was absolutely woeful, goal aside.

Who do you like/rate out of established players

This. The whole club needs a new lease of life. -
Genuinely not sure how there are still people defending our ownership. Our demise has been every bit as spectacular as our rise.
-
We lose this. We'll go there and get bullied. 2-1 to Preston.
-
Does he have any professional pride whatsoever? He's gone from being a young player who was part of a team that won Ligue 1 and supposedly had lots of promise to looking completely out of his depth against League 1 opposition. Is there no part of him that wants to prove that he is a decent player? I watched Matty James, a player deemed not good enough for us around decade ago (injuries played a big part on fairness), playing for Wrexham on Saturday and he looked far more useful at this level than Soumare.
-
He's pony. It's a shame, but it's just true. He's 24 now. I can't give him him the benefit of the doubt anymore.
-
He's 16 years-old. When I was 16 I was listening to angsty music, drinking on parks and wanking myself into a coma (not simultaneously, I may add).
-
I think you'd have to go back at least 17 years for the last time we have a midfield pairing as bad as Soumare and Skipp.
-
If we're being honest, he's far too good at this level not to be starting, especially given our other midfield options.
-
Concerning that Barry Bannan in the first half was playing balls that none of our central midfielders are capable of.
-
How clinical have Bristol City been?
-
The pundits at half-time regarding the penalty shout: 'why has the referee not booked him if he's given a free-kick for simulation?'. Because he didn't give it for simulation, he gave it for the Bristol City player putting his hand on the ball.
-
This has been a far better game than any of the others I've watched this weekend.
