  1. Nice to be up, but we look like plucky underdogs, and they could have had a hatful.
  2. Can’t see why Luke Thomas is being blamed for this. Least of our problems.
  3. Can’t see Rudd is going to have the raw material to work with
  4. Looking forward to @StriderHiryu trying to make sense of our tactics
  5. It’s 12.00 at night here in Oz, debating whether it’s worth staying up for the second half
  6. Definite upgrade in the the good-looking stakes 👍
  7. So have I got this right? RVN is touted by all the media as our next manager but it hasn’t been announced yet. Everything else is speculation?
  8. A happy coincidence where the greater good coincides with saving money. Can’t see anything wrong in that, and a transition away from fossil fuels probably won’t happen any other way than by making it a cheaper alternative (which I believe in most cases is already true, particularly if all the costs of business as usual are factored in).
  9. This seems to be happening around me. Members of my own extended family seem to be developing a fascination for Trump and seem impervious to argument. I get accused of needing a tin foil hat, etc.
  10. I’ll take dull as dishwater if he keeps us up this season. No time for experimenting with pretty football styles, just need to get the job done.
  11. Probably need Harry Potter in to keep us up
  12. Whilst our squad isn’t very good, particularly now with injuries, etc, I think they’ve shown in patches that they are capable of better. A team being less than the sum of the parts has to be down to the manager.
  13. Scoreline better than the dire predictions in the pre-match thread, but pretty uninspired performance bar the odd few minutes here and there, so yeah, Cooper out!
  14. Finished the half well. Surprisingly still in with half a chance of a draw.
  15. With the recent spate of deaths from methanol poisoning in Laos and previous ones of course, shouldn’t it be possible to produce some sort of simple test kit to check drinks for methanol? I’m thinking something like a litmus style test. Any chemists here want to make some money?
  16. I doubt either side would deliberately start a nuclear war, even Putin, but there is always scope for mistakes when tensions are high and Putin is launching ICBMs I’d have thought. Would the yanks know it wasn’t nuclear armed? Would they know where it’s headed? Edit: Just noticed the post from @Dunge clarifying, stand down. Still somewhat alarming though.
  17. America seems to have reached the Caligula phase of empire in double quick time. Expecting Trump to nominate his horse for a position at any time soon.
  18. Or borrow a couple of your mum’s if that’s possible.
  19. Maybe the epoch of Oligarchs and Authoritarians. Quite possible that democracy was a relatively fleeting moment in human history.
  20. The world in general seems to be entering a more “dog eat dog” era sadly
  21. Can’t see him going anywhere unless we’re actually in the relegation zone
  22. Bloody hell, you guys are really harsh today. Perhaps I’m going a bit soft.
  23. Soundly beaten. Can’t think of anything else to say.
  24. Reckon our bugler is better than theirs. Defending for our lives for 90 mins won’t work, but good luck lads anyway.
