Set pieces are a massive part of a teams armoury.... taggart/Walsh/Elliott would get 15/20 between them.. disagree regarding Maddison whips the ball in at pace... most this season have been very floaty

We need 7 players at the front post because that’s as far as the ball makes it.. will agree though that we don’t attack the ball well at all.. Even young Wes who Rodgers says jumps as high as the stadium...He isn’t that commanding at all..

Top 6 at a push I think... we have done brilliantly to be where we are in the league already with the injuries we have had.. The 2nd half of last season I think we lacked ambition as a club both in the transfer market and in the pitch with our tactics... I fear we may suffer again this time around.. A depleted squad and we could be playing twice a week between now and the end of the season with still being in the cups..

Just get Eriksen in... don’t care what it costs until the end of the season.. could be the difference between Europe or not... and get him on set pieces!!

By us being quiet in this window...it will affect our transfer clout in the summer.. we need a body in as the depth of the squad with all the niggles we are having again isnt deep enough for the run in and Europe.. If we drop outside euro places, we won’t attract a calibre of player to help us push on next season again.. shame we couldnt from somewhere find a few quid for a midfielder/striker.. chaloboah is so Ryan Bennett...I don’t think we have learnt our lesson from last season..

Poor performances all over the pitch. tactically crap also. too many players strolling around when you really need to compete with an energetic Leeds team.. let’s hope it’s a blip as it was a similar time last season that injuries and poor form took hold that we couldn’t even shake after the covid delay to the season... we don’t have enough in the squad to cope without the likes of Vardy and Wilf... especially when games are going to come thick and fast.. Seems we are not in a position to spend though so it’s a case of suck it up and what will be will be.. I defo think a fresh face though would give us a lift

Seems to me that we are going down the same road as last season...we had ourselves in a great position in a January for CL... our signing of Bennett was so underwhelming.... links now with Chaloboah is exactly the same... I’d rather keep Hamza.. we have offloaded plenty in wages with Slim and Gray (seems to be going) so get a decent loan in that wows us.. We have been fantastic this season during times of injuries... just hope we have learnt from last season... we bottled it then , let’s not now please..

Lil Wes for a young lad has slotted in brilliantly and we have hardly missed Soyuncu. My only downside would be the lack of dominance in the air. He had a big reputation, constantly boosted by BR.. Is it just me though that thinks he doesn’t look as commanding in the air as has been portrayed..

Pretty horrific to watch this is.. We rest players to keep them fresh then serve up this shit.. No energy anywhere on the pitch..

Looking forward to a fresher look with hopefully Castagne starting and Wilf back into DM.. 4 or 5 at the back, who knows ? That all said, I have a bad feeling for today.. We know Spurs will sit and wait for our attacks to break down before they counter at pace.. Let’s hope for once we find a way of getting through a stubborn defence..

We only have ourselves to blame... Teams against us are only allowed to camp on their own 18 yard box and defend our attacks due to how slow we are in possession.. we receive/win the ball and immediately it goes back/sideways.. giving the opposition plenty of opportunity to regain their shape.. We then slowly build up until we get 30 yards out and have no answer/creativity to breach a defence. It is our own doing... for some reason we have to keep the ball...pass it around for 15/20 passes yet go nowhere.. Up the tempo get our flair players on the ball earlier and we will hopefully start to see a difference..

Yep, think this is how it will go.. if Maddison and Perez get in some decent positions in the holes, we may have some joy..The quality has to be there though..Maddison is due a game where he dominates it...let’s hope it’s tonight. He has had a very poor 2020 as a whole..time to step up.. I do fear a dull uninspiring game though... Brighton like to play it around, if we stand off then..we are in trouble..

You have almost said it yourself, players are as fit as they have ever been also.. totally understandable they get tired... not enough for the constant squad rotation though I wouldn’t mind getting 150k a week for getting tired every 3 days...
