I got slated last season when our performances dropped after the covid break and I said we wouldn’t make top 4... our confidence had gone and we were 2nd best in many games in the run in.. it’s going the same way unfortunately. we lacked any desire in the first half yesterday and for a team in 3rd place with so much at stake , that’s worrying..

3 at the back , just gives ourselves problems... We end up as a 5 and seem happy to surrender possession.. then when we do get the ball, we don’t have the numbers going forward to pose problems.. Timmy and Ricardo are so much better in a 4.. Timmy great at arriving late to our attacks whilst Ricardo is great at starting our moves from deep and linking with players..

The formation blunts us.. it’s defensive and safe... Our CBs dont know what to do with the ball and have no confidence to play through the lines into midfield... Youri and Wilf then come to deep to collect the ball and we have nothing to aim at going forward and our passing process back to kasper and so on repeats itself.. Our set up was all wrong yesterday.. Was a shambolic 55 mins after which I switched off

When we were top of the league during our PL winning season.. The effort and mentality of the players was first class every game... Although we are not top, CL is in our grasp..I just dont see that same desire from this crop of players.. we play with fear.. almost a half hearted ness about our play...And this is after last seasons capitulation of not securing CL football.

We wont win every game... But... I don’t think yesterday first half we even tried to win the game.. Pissing around at the back, sideways, backward passes and going nowhere with possession.. If we want CL football we have to go out on the front foot to win games and show the opposition how good we are.. As good as West Ham have been this season , they had no Rice and Antonio and played with no recognised striker.. they showed a hunger that we lacked though first half whilst we were just happy to watch them play through us.. We defo don’t finish in the CL places..We finish 7th I reckon from here... not learnt our lessons from last season unfortunately West Brom up next... anyone for 5 at the back ?

Anything but this shitty 3-5-2 formation that we seem to insist on playing.. Oh, and maybe we could show a bit of desire in the first half ??

My thought also regarding us looking disinterested.. happened last season also. we dont seem to have learnt out lesson at all. For the 2nd year running we have CL in our grasp yet we look half hearted in every department. we are very weak mentally it seems.. when we lose games, they are deservedly so with real poor performances..

I thought it was dull as up until they scored...passing around at the back and going nowhere with possession.. when they had the ball we dropped off and invited them onto us. they took advantage of our negative approach .. time after time in his FT assessment BR mentions our slow starts...yet they are never addressed..

BR could at least try and adopt a positive approach from the team he selects ? That was a real negative formation with no willingness anywhere to press the opposition today.. We deserved all we got..

Weird isn’t it... against all the odds we get ourselves into the top 4.... then bottle it when it really counts.. let’s be honest...we wont be top 4... like last season we are just not capable of getting the job done.. I just wish we would set up to go out and have a real go... which we don’t..

Last weekend was a free game against Man City so could understand us sitting back.. Same formation and lethargic performance today.. Season is beginning to peter out again... Disappointing..

It’s happening again isn’t it..... Not learnt our lesson after last seasons bottle job... we have become a sit back and soak it up team again... difference is, we can’t defend and we have no one to play on the counter attack..

Being totally outplayed by a team that hasn’t been able to win a football match for months... laugable how bad we are... we ain’t making EL never mind CL... we bottled last season....thought we would learn from our mistakes maybe.... same is same old though...

Down blind alleys.. That run in the game he got injured may have actually contributed to his injury.. youthful exuberance...

Vardy isn’t and hasn’t been right since his Injury... he pulled up after about 10 mins of the first half.. not sure why we do though tbh. it’s not like we have anyone anymore to actually give him any supply

A couple would have been better than the business we did do... CL , FA Cup and top 4 and injuries around... but we settled for what we had... and any scarce links were very much last minute ones.. Just think we haven’t learnt from last season.. not often a club like ours could find themselves in the CL... we blew it last season.. Could possibly go the same way this season..

Folks need a reason for what’s happening..lol.. injuries, I’m having non of it... poor application, poor decisions , awful set pieces defending, and pretty much over the last two games...teams wanting it mor me than us..

Teams would play with 14 man squad in the 80s on awful pitches twice a week... if you want to blame the injuries and lack of squad depth though...maybe go back to our January window where we didn’t learn from the previous season..

We will not sign Under... just doesn’t perform for me.... We have no depth on the wing x 2. Centre /attacking mid... A forward or two also needed. A 4th CB and I would probably say a fullback now with JJ out til Xmas probably.. with CL/EL possible next season we will need a strong squad.. Wes and Fuchs will leave along with Hamza i imagine... we need to use the carrot of European football to attract players

We seem to be either very good or very poor..not much in between. This season has been a tremendous one so far.. The lack of a signing in an attacking position in January was a big negative. True we couldn’t envisage our injuries piling up but if you take Maddison and Barnes (tonight) out of the team we are distinctly average with no creativity at all. it’s games like tonight you realize our depth isn’t as deep as we think. No replacement forward or AM on the bench to chance things... let’s push on though with what we have done especially in the next 3 games when we could give ourselves some daylight between the chasers... we sure don’t want a drop off like last season where in truth we bottled the CL

Not doubting it... amazed at such a stat in this day and age though.. Certainly won’t beat lineker
