I'd love to see him have an average game. No horrendous tackles, no misplaced passes... Who am I kidding?

Always hard to tell. Weekdays can be surprisingly busy if local office workers and/or tourists pop in for a drink. The number of Leicester fans varies in my experience; sometimes just a few, sometimes 20 or more. And it's always possible to get a couple of other club fans turn up for a bit of ribbing / banter. If it gets too busy some folk will sit or stand outside, but then you miss the game broadcast! -
As someone over 60, my advice is to find a new passion/business. It's your last chance to blow all your money on the new bar/restaurant you always wanted to run before becoming bankrupt.

There used to be black and white tv sets, and a special licence for black and white viewers. Do either still exist? Edit: After a conversation with Mr Google, it appears there is still a black and white TV licence for £53.50. So the answer to both must be Yes.

I suppose we could have recalled Soumare from his loan once we knew NDidi was out for a long time.... Not sure that would have been a positive move though.

Nah. Moggy says they won (so long as they count votes cast for other parties).

Normally no. However those MPs who have openly called for a "hostile environment" should be given their wish.

Prices are a bit out of date, but even so.. One reply:

Spot on, you mysterious poster with Enderby vibes..

I've lived in different parts of the country and met plenty of awful folk who support other teams. Yes, we have them too (and in significant numbers unfortunately) but no different to other teams' fan bases. Luckily there are decent, observant, intelligent fans out there too. We may come across one some day...

Yep. Right from the start of that relegation season it was apparent that some things weren't right, and that we were at severe risk of being relegated. This is not hindsight speaking, there were plenty of posters who raised concerns from the start. Yet certain voices were totally convinced that BR would turn things around, particularly in that spell around November/December. Having said that, some folk were convinced we were bound to "piss the league" this season as our squad just had far better players, even after the departure of Soy/Maddison/Barnes/Youri etc. In the event they've been proven right, haven't they? (although I would still say Enzo deserves a great deal of credit for how he's managed the situation).

As someone with ambition, I'm sure he'd take an opportunity to move to a club that has better spending power (wages as well as transfer payments) than ours currently has. But I'm not so sure that would be an Italian club. We've seen in our own transfer dealings how tight Italian clubs can be, and I'm sure Enzo is equally aware of this.

Failing to complete the Sensi move is frustrating, but understandable if it put us at risk of breaching FFP issues. I'm far more annoyed that we chose not to sell Souttar. If he's not a first team choice, then we shouldn't be paying him big wages to tread water. Didn't want to improve a rival? Well they'd hardly want to sign him if they didn't think he'd improve their side, ffs.

In: Messi, Benzema Out: KDH, Iheancho, Daka, McAteer, Souttar, Justin

It's not just the transfer fee that Brighton may stall on. Would they be in a position to give KDH a substantial pay increase compared to what he earns here?

Nice bench again..

He could come in as a mentor to our young prospects Marc and Jamie!

Madrid - City break and football
SkidsFox replied to filbertuk's topic in General Football and Sport
Someone I know who lives in Madrid, and has always had great interest in the Civil War and International Brigades, has started walking tours Madrid 1936 – GUIDED TOUR OF CIVIL WAR MADRID 1936-1939 (wordpress.com) The advantage is you can arrange a day on the tour when you travel there. Looking at the site, I didn't know that Joe Strummer took the name of the Clash from the Arturo Barea book on wartime Madrid! -
Well-sourced! It was quite impressive as a kid to see those magnificent animals.

The circus coming to town with a big street procession including elephants trampling through the streets. This was in LBoro so it may not have taken place in your neck of the woods. Nevertheless it's died away (possibly rightly), no doubt on account of animal rights concerns.
