Middlesbrough Away 11/11/23
Paninistickers replied to Bob Weasel Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Hahaha, that's twice (and annoyingly, worringly) today I have secretly agreed with one of your absurd posts. Just can't envisage this lad as anything other than Everton's George Hirst and we are the little Ipswich role in this. -
I know you are prone to hyperbole, but I agree. Casadei was so poor we were effectively playing with 10 men. It was the manager's fault. He had to get hooked at half time. The damage was done by the time he got pulled.

Agree. Think tomorrow Ricky will play the ndidi role and Hamza in the Ricky role. That's the logical way to get as many of the senior 15 players in as poss. -
For those of you into commercial aircraft, flew on a (virtually) brand new embraer E195 with KLM this.week ... 2 X 2 configuration and an almost silent glide into the air on take off. Lovely lil short haul plane.

If anyone subscribes to sky,.they can't really complain at the Boxing day time change. Bin it off. I despise their coverage, ever since Keys and Gray left (which says probs more a out me than sky tbf) Won't even watch sky on the firestick- I look.for the PL feed instead. . Same (less) money easy buys subscription to every game going Inc 3pm.kick offs

I'm taking the thread off on a wilf tangent, but Wilf had earned both some slack and some respect. He was afforded neither but a good section of this forum...and bringing it full circle to Kels, he too has enough credit in the bank yet too many on here simply ignore and can't wait to have a pop.
-
...Same punters who were prepared to drive 'agent' Wilf to Forest as he was so awful and play Casadei (who'd they'd never seen) instead.

Is it me or does KDH get better as the game goes on? Almost every game he seems at 80 mins - 95 mins he's the best player on the pitch
-
Im gonna guess Swindon fans have had better Saturday nights than tonight's
-
Great strength, great touch potentially a fantastic player but decision making is poor (what was those fcking cross field passes or deep crosses?) - fortunately that something that can be coached. He's gonna be a PL player with us

Leeds post match thread - 0-1 loss
Paninistickers replied to jim5000's topic in Leicester City Forum
Strange game in that I must've muttered 'well played' referring to a pass or piece of play or defending more than any other game in years. Faes and Ricky were on another level. The wingers first half magnificent. Winks some beautiful work under pressure. Hermansen reading the game perfectly. KDH's running - his stats must be amazing. JJ holding up and delaying the wingers. Basically we had 9 players on it, Vardy out of it and poor old Casadei was beyond woeful. He's so far behind the others tactically, technically and in confidence it's embarrassing. I think 8 times out of 10 that game goes down as a hard fought draw.. -
Leeds Pre Match - Friday 3rd November
Paninistickers replied to Koke's topic in Leicester City Forum
Thing is, we don't really know how teams react to going 1 or even 2 goals up. My suspicion is the opponent will try to see the game out, surrendering the ball and retreating deeper which, basically, is what we are built for. -

Last promotion we had Derby come down here at Xmas all confident and cocky only for us to dish out one of the most brutal bummings I've ever seen. They couldn't have complained if we'd have won 13 or 14-0 -
Wishing a happy birthday to Matt Elliott! 🎊

What a strange dig at a current player for us, who, imo, is playing at an outstanding level. -
It wasn't. It was a bronchial flu type Illness and unless you were extremely weak, unlucky, had multiple co morbidities or were the husband of a GMTV presenter, you were gonna be fine, vaccine or no vaccine. It's a shame Johnson didn't have the guts to go with his initial instinct of hand washing and letting the young get on with it.

Palma or Palmanova? The (very good) hotel mentioned above is Palmanova about 15 miles from Palma city

I'd love to be reminded of who was in that consortium. From memory it was about 70 or 80 individuals who put in 100k each. I wonder what their story was and if they are still involved as fans or box holders. How did it feel to 'save the club'? Be a good feature piece for, say, rob tanner or Jordan Blackwell to do

A club drafted, Whelan approved statement if ever I saw one. I'm slightly surprised it didn't include grateful blessings to the Thai royal family

As always, great stuff @StriderHiryu I think under mentioned this season is our shape out of possession (those few times we have been) and absolute commitment to running back into shape/ getting ourselves between ball and man. We've been under the cosh for pockets of almost very away game this season, but since the experimental Huddersfield & Rotherham games, teams have had momentum.but perhaps, say, only one serious chance in those phases It's in transition we can struggle...but surely that goes for any team.. I'm expecting Friday to see us for periods to actually allow Leeds the ball in a bid to bring them.out of shape and expose their poor midfield and defence

Deary me. That's such a terrible story. The poor lad.

See that Nathan Jones is mentioned. Listened to him on R5 a couple of weeks ago as a studio guest. Nit quite the fool he was made out to be. Really interesting guy. By coincidence, I saw a Southampton YouTube 10 min piece in his coaching when he first started there. Again, looked to a layman like me seemed a really interesting session.

I got the sending off....it was 2 yellows, he treated then as separate things. Today's highlight for me was a free kick for offside being taken 5 or 6 yards INSIDE our half -
It needs repeating that I was one of those who was absolutely against the signing. In fact, I've rarely been so unequivocal. It felt like spurs were not only taking our best player at a knock down price, but that Levy was screwing us further bu offloading shite, and in typical Levy fashion, charging us a fortune for the pleasure. Ive rarely been so wrong about a player. He's an absolute gent as well as a hugely talented footballer

Just like an FA Cup third round tie. QPR made a real fist of it (whilst creating no serious chances), we were three main players down and an element of holding some fitness back
