  1. Bit of a cop out. I'd have preferred Soulsby to have stuck to his guns and created a fully open plaza. But it's understandable he's hedged his bets, given the furore. If the market can be upgraded and be much more artisan and farmer's market feel (a.little like the surprisingly excellent indoor market) ....then it may well.work. But the cheap shit vibe I've known all my life would be better located and suites to the Humberstone or Belgrave Gate immigrant areas
  2. Ok, I'm going back 30 years to the play off final, but this argument can be debunked there and then.. Derby were blown away...Our noise, we sold out (they didn't) and some (we had all the corporate areas, the olympic gallery) , the balloons, the ticker tape ...the general culture of being 'Leicester' compared with them who had zero identity...
  3. I think he's overall at Cags' level. Maybe even a notch better. You forgot Maguire tho, who seems to have been erased from our recent history. He was outstanding for us.
  4. The bench is absolutely woeful. I doubt the crossing was instructed,.just a lack of ideas. Compare and contrast with Winks and Abdul coming on v Saints. Both impacted the game hugely. The (lack of) bench ATM is really harming us. I think if we had Vards, Bilal, Abdul and, injuries to VK aside, Ricky (who can be used in a variety of positions) and again (injury permitting) Vesty.....it gives us real options to positively impact a game. Ayew can come on and bleed a game out. McAteer can give us legs. Ward, Coady, Soumare, BdcR, Luke Thomas will simply not be able to affect games (well not in our favour anyway)
  5. I'd accommodate Skipp by either dropping Abdul, and using him as the game changing trump card...or - I've gone on and on about this - dropping Vards and either playing Buonnotte as a false nine or Stephy up top
  6. West Ham absolute garbage. They had a season's dollop of luck today.. They are in trouble.
  7. I wondered this too.. And funnily enough, the return of enzo's system I felt dampened the crowd..it was, dare I say, a tad boring (despite a lovely goal) ....i preferred the aggressive, more basic midfield Skipp, winks,.Wilf trio which saw good halves v Villa and Palace.
  8. There's no way he'd have turned down a move to Chelsea, even if we were in a financial position to keep him.. Every player has got to back themselves to push their career to its max, even if deep down they know they are a very capable mid table player rather than elite level. He won't be back in January. He ain't gonna give in that easily.
  9. Is she? Her performance on the campaign trail has been woeful. How on earth would she cope chatting to big political intellectual brains on the world circuit? And at home, she's just a robot doing as she's told. Trump DOES cope on the biggest stages, courtesy of his ego and his charm/flattery. And at home, he's driven again by his ego that demands 'wins' - which in turn does lead to some wins for the nation - either by accident or design
  10. Same thought. If a team with Barnes, Tielemans and Madders can go down...
  11. If you were Southampton right now,.or Wolves, then there's no need for panic. One win and they are out of relegation zone. Just stay in touch. My gut feel is wolves will find form eventually. My eyes are drawn to west ham, who look woeful.
  12. We miss Vestergaard's immense self confidence and with it, his leadership qualities. 3421 Mads Fes Vesty Okoli JJ winks Skipp VK Buonnotte Wilf Stephy up top (Vards just can't do the role) Look to introduce Ricky, Abdul, Ayew, Vards McAteer depending on game scenario
  13. Ipswich in the red zone soon for their 15 deflection 99min equaliser
  14. Shame. We could've done with him playing next week
  15. I was/am one of those who feels that keep it tight, stay in game approach isn't always bad. Skipp, winks, Wilf keeps any team honest and we can switch it up with Abdul later on in games
  16. 2-0 ai t what it used to be. In the old days, you just settle in for a routine defeat. 1980s, I remember the David Pleat era, we'd concede on 20 mins and 60 mins and apply absolutely zero momentum swing, late pressure or force the opposition to hang on. Nowadays, no PL team can dominate or control for 90 mins. It's impossible
  17. That Pinnock can count his blessings he don't play for us. All at sea for both goals. The shite that Faes or JJ get for minor errors, Pinnock would be crucified
  18. They were completely silent after we equalised until they took the lead again. As someone else says above, the on pitch action largely determines the atmosphere
  19. Probably but you can never tell with Cooper. It's plausible he simply expressed an opinion in training. We all know Vesty doesn't hold back. We've all seen Faes openly berate/debate the manager on the pitch. Winks was dropped for questionable reasons. Edit; Mavididi another who clearly hasn't bonded with the manager
  20. Personally I think we are all over thinking it a bit. We did well first half, it was nip and tuck. Second half they got their noses in front and we fell apart to a physically stronger, well organised team. It's the PL. It happens. His starting xi has improved tenfold since the opening couple of games. It's that fcking bench now he needs to replace. I mentioned at start if game that unlike saints away, we were gonna get worse as the game wore on as we had nothing to bring on (Skipp apart - but he's not a game changer) Ward, BdcR,.Luke Thomas are amongst the worst players in the top two, if not three divisions. Ayew is a game finisher, not changer. Soumare. Jesus wept. For me normal bench - supposed 'injuries' aside - would be iversen, Abdul, McAteer, Bilal, Ricky, Vesty, Hamza. At least there there's speed, fitness, passing and height. Vastly different to last night.
  21. We got schooled by a streetwise, physically stronger team. A routine defeat that simply happens in the PL every now and then.. The fact that it's that disgusting red filth who bossed us all over I have to put aside
  22. Pity. I was worried pre match (not knowing he was out thro injury) that against a physical and quick forest team, we'd miss his aggression. Our starting xi is pretty decent - low mid table - and tbh, first half, I was surprised how we quickly we rebooted the Enzo possession game. But I say same every week, that fcking bench.
  23. Where was VK today? Anyone know?
  24. Just reading that story of the online catfish bloke. Those warnings ahead of a news story about disturbing content normally don't even scratch the surface for me, you kinda get numb ....., but this is amongst the most upsetting stories I think I've ever read.
  25. They didn't. They comfortably looked the worst team in the league and were trying really hard to break their duck. Sometimes inferior teams just win.
