  1. Forest really are a very limited side. All huff and puff but little quality. Rodgers is simply not brave enough to seize the initiative. As usual he is playing not to lose. Despite our superior quality he fails to set us up to impose our superiority on a clearly weaker opponent. Playing two up top (Daka and Nacho) for Vardy and Barnes screams out surely. Rodgers must be stone deaf!.
  2. Boring, turgid, uninspiring, negative set up lacking creativity, energy, pace and metal. Let's try and nick a point off these world beaters! Sad! How has it come to this?
  3. Almiron is clearly their biggest threat and his threat needs to be negated. Will Rodgers address the obvious? I think we all know the answer to that. Likely when it's too late!
  4. A team full of players who he's frozen out, a couple who are remnants of the past and a couple of kids. Rodgers is killing our club by a thousand cuts!
  5. Rodgers' latest excuse for our abysmal form is that we have a very small squad. Nonsense! For me this has more to do with bad coaching than lack of recruitment. Clearly our squad is currently bloated with dead wood that we can't get rid of and this can't solely be put down to Rodgers, but he has likely had a bigger hand in recruitment since he signed his new deal. However, Rodgers is solely responsible for the poor rotation of the squad that he does have at his disposal. He consistently overplays his favourites, most notably Amartey, Barnes and more recently Soumare despite poor form, while inexplicably freezing out the likes of Soyuncu, Mendy, Iheanacho and Praet. This, to my mind, amounts to gross mismanagement of the squad and it has contributed substantially to our lengthy injury list, a pattern that has sadly been repeated for the last few seasons.
  6. Lost for words. No plan, weak mentality. No leadership on or off the field. Every player under performing. Half the squad can't wait to get out. Our club is an absolute shambles. Relegation beckons if Top doesn't take decisive action. Starting with getting rid of the chief architect of the rot that has set in - Rodgers. Some senior management heads also need to roll. As for this game the bare minimum requirement should be for the players to roll up their sleeves and give it everything. At least show that they care. Our fans just need something to get behind!
  7. Class from Justin - spares Rodgers' blushes!
  8. Rodgers' ball at its finest. Defensive set up and a lack of attacking intent. Why is he not prepared to play two strikers against this lot? It really boggles the mind. Does he do it deliberate;y to wind us fans up or is he a bloody-minded buffoon?
  9. You're entitled to your opinion, but short of the old Vulcan mind meld, theorizing about his baffling comments and actions is the the best we can do. The man is an enigma for sure!
  10. Mr. Rodgers is quite the narrator.
  11. Given the talent that we have in our club it is hard to explain the shocking start we had to the season. However, it did fit perfectly with Rodgers' carefully crafted narrative about a refresh. Everything he did seemed to undermine the confidence of the players and whip up fears in the fan base. He looked like a man who wanted out with a huge payoff and no blame. He almost seemed to be engineering his own exit with reputation intact. Given the start we had, the worst in Premier League history, he was fully expecting the trigger to be pulled. Incredibly that didn't happen. Starting with the Forest game (a pylon could have been on the touchline overseeing that one-sided victory) our form 'miraculously' improved as Rodgers began to realize that his future prospects as a top coach now depended on us avoiding relegation. His reputation would be in tatters if he took us down with the talent at his disposal. I therefore expect us to comfortably avoid relegation even with Rodgers at the helm, but no way should he be allowed to undertake the inevitable rebuild in the summer. The man is self-serving and he brings a toxicity to the club that is, quite frankly, distasteful.
  12. I think most of us who think Brendan should go haven't changed our position. Fortunately he seems to have accepted that, after blaming everyone but himself for our disastrous start to the season, that his reputation as a 'top' coach depends on us avoiding relegation. He cannot hide from the fact that he still has a very strong squad at his disposal. Should he be kept on for the rebuild that has to be undertaken in the summer, whether we avoid relegation or not,...absolutely not! He is not the man to take us forward. The club will not move him on until they have a suitable replacement lined up. Our recent form underlines the quality we have in our squad and it provides the board with a little more breathing space to make the right decisions moving forward. Bottom line is Rogers has burned his boats here but timing is everything.
  13. No. As soon as we get a quality replacement lined up he has to go. Can't be trusted with a rebuild next summer. Meantime even with him at the helm hopefully the quality in our squad will be enough to keep us up.
  14. Was that Vards howling like a wolf during his goal celebration? Fvcking brilliant!
  15. Superb result and performance. No more excuses and peddling your own narrative Rodgers. Get your game plan, in-game tactics and substitutions right and allow the quality at your disposal to flourish. Huge win today and a free hit next week!
  16. 2 - 0 up at halftime in a must win game! Rodgers needs to confound us critics (and I'm certainly one) by getting the big tactical decisions right in the second half. Losing from here would be catastrophic!
  17. Ward superb save! Great finishing! The second half is huge in terms of our survival bid. Fail to win from here and we are in deep, deep trouble. We need to take control of the midfield as surely Wolves won't be so profligate second half as they continue to press.
  18. I agree about Praet. He provides balance to the team and by resting KDH Maddison could have played in his best position, centrally behind Daka. No brainer, but Rodgers knows best! Hope the players can pull us out of the relegation zone despite Rodgers' best efforts.
  19. So true. What the Tories need to find is a man of the people, someone with honesty and integrity who has a sound grasp of detail with a proven track record of getting the 'big' decisions right and who is prepared to work hard and put the country first ahead of his own political ambitions... of course, Boris! Just as the British public is waking up to the distorted media narratives so are the majority of our fans who want Rodgers out!.
  20. Rodgers has been consistently poor at rotating his squad effectively throughout his tenure here with negative consequences; injuries, loss of form/motivation of those overused, loss of confidence and fitness of those frozen out. If he improves his woeful record in this regard our form will improve.
  21. Totally agree.
  22. I have a long-standing dislike for Leeds the club, stemming from the arrogant Revie era and the well-deserved dirty Leeds tag. But, after watching them against Arsenal today, they are everything we're not. They are quick, physical and play to win. We are slow, weak and play not to lose (ironic isn't it). The game at Elland Rd today was pulsating and Arsenal celebrated their narrow victory like they'd just won the League. Even though they lost, every Leeds fan would have gone home disappointed yes, but buzzing with excitement and proud of their team. Expect more of the same from Rodgers and win (yes it's possible we could scrape an undeserved victory), lose or draw we as fans will be leaving the ground feeling much the same about the sorry state of our club! When will this nightmare end? Come on Top, you know what you have to do!
  23. It'll be even worse by the end if we score first. Perhaps a massive vocal protest is the push the club needs to be awakened from its mystifying lethargy.
