  1. Concerning! Top is well intentioned but lacks the ruthlessness of his father. Given the gross mismanagement that has lead to our catastophic decline he must clear out the front office, starting with Rudkin, and bring in a whole new team with the expertise to recreate a winning culture in the championship. Anything less and more worrying times lie ahead!
  2. Hard to believe we still have a chance to stay up, but all the pressure is on Everton as their destiny is in their own hands - they have everything to lose, we have everything to gain.
  3. Now we see beyond any reasonable doubt that relegation was the plan all along!
  4. Forest, Everton and Leeds are the most dislikeable trio of teams in the PL for me but all three have shown heart, desire and total commitment in attempting to beat the drop. We on the other hand lack any fight whatsoever. We're a team created in the image of it's maker, Brendan bloody Rodgers. A total reset in the Championship will be required on the back of a ruthless clearout from top to bottom. Playing in the Championship will be a huge challenge but as fans all we ask is that the club restores some pride so that we can look forward to following our beloved team whichever division we are playing in.
  5. I agree with this. With Mendy and KDH in the midfield we'll be a lot stronger defensively and with KDH and Kristiensen behind him Barnes will be much more of a threat. Tete gets in the lineup not because he's setting the world on fire but because he provides balance. With this starting lineup i think we have a chance of beating Fulham.
  6. We need a win at Fulham (winnable even in our current state) or a win against Liverpool (would be a shock but Forest managed it), or a draw against Fulham and Liverpool, (the Newcastle game will be a case of trying to keep our goal difference advantage in tact) to give ourselves the opportunity to survive with a win against West Ham. Can't see two of Leeds, Everton and Forest picking up two wins in their last four games. We could actually stay up with a win and a draw (34 points) because the clubs around us are as bad or even worse than us. Unfortunately I still fear we won't reach even the minimal points requirement to stay up such is the state we have got ourselves into. It's the hope that's killing me.
  7. Cheer up lads, even if we fail to improve on that shocking performance tonight against the worst attack in the league (Iverson stood on his head for Christ's sake!) we still have a chance of staying up if two from Leeds, Forest and Everton fail to pick up any more points.and Southampton continue to be crap! What a shower of ****. The club needs a clearout from top to bottom.
  8. A game we deserved to lose but should have won!
  9. Everton dominated the half but that should have finished them off. If we lose from here it will be no more than we deserve. Pathetic!
  10. Nacho, absolute class! Groin strains, even mild ones, can take a few weeks. So ironic that a player criminally underused by Rodgers will be a massive miss for our run in. Hopefully Vardy's return to scoring will be the catalyst for our club legend to inspire another great escape!
  11. Presumably a backup plan although the way this club has been allowed to implode in such a short space of time certainly begs the question...how? Top is a fabulous owner because his heart is in the club but those running it who are still in place will have some serious questions to answer once our fate this campign is decided.
  12. I know it sounds a little carzy but I have been thinking along the same lines. Given how long the club clung on to Rodgers who was clearly in 'destruct' mode the thought occured that the club might have been thinking along these lines too.
  13. Most on here saw through Rodgers months and in some cases years ago. Top cannot run a football club, he is a football fan (seeing his reaction yesterday after the final whistle is the latest indication of this). When Covid hit, soon after the tragic loss of his father, he had huge business concerns way beyond his interests in Leicester City. At this time he would have had to rely on those running the club to steer the ship through turbulent waters. The fact that those in charge allowed Rodgers to take us to the very edge of self-destruction is a dereliction of duty. Once the season concludes, either with a miraculous escape or relegation to the Championship, those at the top must be held to account. In my opinion there should be a clearout as they are just as culpable for our spectacular decline as Rodgers.
  14. He needs to bring on Praet and KDH for Daka and Tete and take control of the midfield. The game looked gone but hat penalty has given us a lifeline - we must take advantage.
  15. Dean Smith identified the importance of 'getting on the front foot' against Wolves. How refreshing!
  16. Such a refreshing change to hear a straight talking, honest approach to answering questions at a press conference as opposed to what we've had to listen to from Mr. 'Self Promotion' Rodgers. Whether we stay up or go down as a fan I can get fully behind Dean Smith. If the players feel the same we still have a chance of staying up.
  17. This squad lacks, grit, determination, confidence and organization, all part of a coaches remit, but in terms of talent...really? Looking at the players on the other teams around us, how many would you take over our own? We dismantled Villa and Spurs in consecutive games, how many of the other bottom feeders are capable of doing that. Rodgers failed to get the best out of this talented group and finally the club woke up and showed him the door. Like most on here I fear that decision was left too late and that our new coaching team just won't have enough time to undo the damage Rodgers has done. At least with our new coaching team in place if we do go down we'll go down fighting and us fans will be able to back our team with pride once again!
  18. Ward and Thomas must be injured! Today could be the final straw for many unil we get someone in who can actually run a football club.
  19. All Leicester fans are gutted me old son. No reason to change our opinion about Rodgers though. We were going down with him and may probably go down without him. If we do, it's because the heirachy at the club failed to act soon enough. Meantime, let's stick together and get behind the lads while we still have the chance to avoid the drop!
  20. Wow, you must be fun at parties! Because we had no chance before with Rodgers in charge. Try at least to enjoy the euphoria of having finally got rid of this charlatan. Even if we do get relegated at least we won't have to put up with Rodgers' ball in the Championship.
  21. Delighted he's gone; better late than never. Now at least we have a chance of staying up. Can't help thinking that their late winner was the final straw. If we'd scraped an undeserved point not sure they would have pulled the trigger. Unfortunately this highlights the gross mismanagement at the top of our club. However, we can now all get behind the lads as they prepare for the battle ahead. If we go down, which is still a distinct possibility, at least we'll go down fighting if whoever takes charge sets us up to try and win rather than not to lose.
  22. "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated" - Jon Lyden at the final Pistols' concert in San Francisco. Rodgers' supporters must be feeling like those who voted for Brexit when reality finally hit. Rodgers would make an excellent Tory PM.
  23. The reason Rodgers stuck with Ward for so long is all down to his own ego. He cannot admit that he is wrong by taking ownership of his mistakes. It is his fatal flaw and unfortunately it will result in our relegation while he departs to pastures new to beguile another gullable club with his bullshit.
  24. Every cloud has a silver lining!
