  1. The suggestion is that she was in office but not in power, held in place by her other links to King Power
  2. Can someone please provide a link to enable us to either sponsor them or make a donation
  3. No doubt in my mind, admittedly we've had some shockers but Frank McLintock was absolutely in a class of his own. Nice bloke though, very friendly and approachable.
  4. This transfer window - whilst not perfect - did turn out to be far better than I expected and, for that reason alone, I refuse to believe that Jon Rudkin had anything at all to do with it. Therefore there must be truth in the story circulating prior to the window opening that Martin Glover had been asked to take a greater involvement in the recruitment process. Only possible explanation.
  5. Of course we don't know all the circumstances or intricacies of the deal but, based on the club's past performance and their refusal to provide any form of comment, we are perfectly entitled to think the worst. On the face of it, this is a terrible deal - what else can we think given the previous alternative offers commented upon in the press only - on the day before the closure of the window - to hear he is leaving on a lower value loan deal. It may be that the club have exciting potential signings lined up to complete during the course of today which then might go some way towards improving my current opinion of the most senior management at the club, but on the basis of this transfer, I doubt it.
  6. This is what you call "proper" football!
  7. Quite right. Save the drinking until after the match when the need is greater.....
  8. I'm beginning to develop a liking for Ipswich
  9. Can't have been Rudkin, someone else must have negotiated this deal!
  10. Wonder if there is any possibility of Spurs now coming in for Bilal?
  11. Good time for a protest then
  12. Not too late for Palace to withdraw from the deal if they think they've found a better / cheaper alternative.... We're then left with an unhappy and unsettled player possibility at the end of the transfer window
  13. But even when these players have moved out at the end of their contracts or whenever, as things stand we'd still be relying on the very same people who got us into this mess, to rebuild for the future. Doesn't exactly fill you with hope does it?
  14. What do you think are the chances of Top being at the next home match? Was he at the Sheffield Wednesday game?
  15. The most compelling, not to say convincing, job application I've seen for years!
  16. It's also certainly possible that the funds resulting from our player sales are needed back in Thailand to provide financial support for King Power
  17. Amid total silence from the club - no statements, no comments on their future intentions and no news. Is Top deliberately trying to kill our interest in the club?
  18. All down to Top as far as I'm concerned, lacking totally in leadership, communication and management skills. Criticise Rudkin all you like - and I do - he reports to Top who is obviously happy with his performance no matter how ridiculous that sounds. And what we're seeing now on the pitch is the inevitable result of this total lack of ability in the Boardroom, All down to Top...
  19. I'm not convinced there is any intention of the club making significant signings apart from maybe a few loans. Seems at least possible that the club has decided- or is being required- to limit all non-essential spending and maybe even, who knows, channel funds back to help KP's financial troubles in Thailand. Future doesn't look all that promising and the silence we've all had to become used to from the Boardroom certainly isn't in any way reassuring.
  20. To me in H1 it sounded like thousands
  21. I'm expecting a hard-fought, difficult match. I'm not worried about the score, it'll be close I think and I just want 3 points at the end of it.
  22. You're right, it doesn't sound funny at all
  23. It isn't, but Mad's value is determined by what others would be prepared to pay. It seems that West Ham are the only club prepared to offer and therefore they have determined his current value. Of course it might have been different if others had been prepared to offer....
  24. I wouldn't quite go that far, there's lots of work still to be done on transfers both in and out and selling a player for the specified release clause amount isn't all that challenging once interested potential buyers have made contact.
  25. The strangest thing for me - amongst a whole lot of strange things about this club! - is that most clubs, organisations and businesses in general would work really hard at engaging with their supporters or 'customers' in order to foster or generate interest in their products or activities. The hierarchy at LCFC clearly regard their supporters as a total nuisance to be kept in ignorance and at arms lengt, to be starved of any news. As long as we keep giving them money of course
