Southampton vs Leicester (A) - October 19th
Death by Football replied to 420Hashish's topic in Leicester City Forum
I'd prefer it if we only made Justin play in 1 position and maybe had Ricardo at RB. Other than that it is so obvious this is the team that should be starting every week. -
Bournemouth (H) Pre match thread (05.10.24, 3pm)

Balls out indeed playing with no goalkeeper. Unless the alternative is our Danny. -
"my initial reaction is not to be too defensive" Really?
-
I’m really conflicted over this. I didn’t particularly want him in the first place but would normally give the benefit of the doubt. But I see nothing in what he is doing to suggest that we will improve or settle into an effective style that could see us safe. I don’t mind if we go down but I want to see us go down fighting and it looks the opposite. Set up to try and not lose, defensive attackers, best players on the bench and no discernible style just adds up to a meek capitulation again in my view. The main reason I’m not keen to get rid is that I have zero faith in the powers that be to get the next appointment right.

"When he lost he sounded like he knew how to sort it for the next match"...then changed nothing and did exactly the same thing as he did in every other match. Cooper has only had a few games so we can't see what he will change or not. If he sticks to the 3 man defensive midfield and refuses to pick Riccy P then he needs to go. If he sets up to try and get something out of games then he deserves more of a chance.

Odsonne Edouard joins on loan - Official
Death by Football replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Hopefully he can hit the ground running. He looks good in that vid. The green coaches tracksuits are f-ing horrific though. -
Impact subs are all well and good if you have a strong starting line up. You bring them on to enhance or change the way the team is playing. Keeping one of your best players on the bench so they can create an impact later is mental. Play your best players from the start and you hopefully won’t be so reliant on an impact from the bench later.

The Second Greatest Season Ever
Death by Football replied to kushiro's topic in Leicester City Forum
I love these trips back into history. Please keep up the good work. It's also time to bring back the orthodox 2-3-5 formation and go balls out for the title. -
Marc Albrighton Retires From Football

What a bloke. Wish him all the best in his retirement. Going out as a Champion is a fitting way to end an amazing career. Thanks for the memories Marc. -
Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
Death by Football replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I was gutted when I first heard about our interest in Ayew. Then I thought back on our record with journeymen forwards and perhaps it’s not so bad. I was underwhelmed when we signed Claridge, Marshall, Cottee and Howard. They all turned out ok. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. -
Probably means we're signing a player from Derby.

It's beautiful to watch. My bug bear with our possession football (particularly under Rodgers) was the lack of pace in the play. This shows how effective we can be when we up the tempo.

But…but…there were tweets.

If you replaced Soumaré in the squad I wouldn’t be disappointed.

Ex Players - They used to play for us

He'd make a good politician - starts off on the right wing but drifts towards the centre to get more control. -
Is it Preki ?

Craig Shakespeare Sadly Passed away
Death by Football replied to stu's topic in Leicester City Forum
This is so sad. Seemed such a great bloke and never heard a bad word against him. He was with us at some of the best and worst times for the club and will always be remembered fondly. -
One is clean, safe and beautiful with well bred, friendly and welcoming people. The other is Nottingham.
-
Yes this is an uninspiring signing but the kind we need to make a few of. The bloke can cover various positions, works hard, knows the division and doesn’t have a transfer fee. We may have to pay a bit more of a signing bonus but in the position we’re in I can’t see the negatives.

Steve Cooper: The Tactics Thread
Death by Football replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
I hope he looks at the squad and picks the best formation to suit the players available to him rather than trying to shoehorn players into new positions to suit a formation. I agree that Fatawu could play wing back but I’d much rather continue to see him on the wing. -

Don't see Golding going straight into the team.
