  1. Don't think any of the players involved in international football will leave. Few will want to buy and have them out and we will want to avoid uncertainty of dealing late. I.e. we want to have the squad places freed up before we pursue our targets. So yeah, probably Praet and one of our goalkeepers and maybe a loan move for Wanya.
  2. That would be criminil and downright amorel...
  3. Can't say I have, only a few highlights packages. Obviously his career path and length along with his remarkable numbers tell me he's yet to reach his ceiling. We need a new Vardy-like player to take over the king's mantle 😁
  4. It's obviously not "stupid", but it is limited. I applaud the effort to contextualise existing stats to give them more value. Like all other single stats though, you need to look at several of them in combination to get a better picture. And ultimately, it needs to be backed by some footballing knowledge to get true value out of it.
  5. Let's just chuck it all at Gift Orban and reap the rewards
  6. We shouldn't really be looking at anyone. We're setting a crazy pace at the front. Even with Saints and Leeds in great form, we've got nothing to worry about.
  7. They manmarked us well. Often Hermansen had no options as he was closed down. Faes being right-footed on the left side didn't help either.
  8. How do 'we seem to think' that?
  9. Well at least you don't deny it's a shiitake
  10. He's simply been integral to our performances and style this season. Did you just ignore his quarterback pass to KDH first half which sent the latter through one on one?
  11. The ref was letting the game flow reasonably well first half, but then cracked down excessively at the beginning of the second only to completely refrain from any decision from the Harness decision onwards. Very bizarre and inconsistent refereeing performance, which understandably frustrated both teams.
  12. Disagree. To "deserve" a point in my book, you need to have been unlucky with your finishing or faced some exceptional defending/goalkeeping. But Hermansen only had a couple of routine saves from long range all game. They were blunt in attack, much like most of the Championship.
  13. Yes it was a pen. Tough luck for us. Harness' first yellow was very soft which maybe balances it out a bit. But those two decision along with the equaliser definitely shows they were fortunate. I really don't think they could've complained if that finished 1-0, despite McKenna's biased post match comments.
  14. I thought Chaplin looked a handful and they worked ever so hard, probably the hardest working team in the league. It's not often we've been outpossessed for an entire half and they didn't wilt even during the end of the game, so fair dues. Huffing and puffing with a bit of quality and belief can get you far.
  15. I actually thought both sides showed just how good their physical shape is. Constant pressing and good concentration levels for 90 minutes. Yes, we lost momentum with the subs, but overall it felt like a good battle between the two strongest sides.
  16. I thought he looked OK. Also, there's mitigating circumstances here.
  17. Yeah, they put us under pressure second half, but they should have had at least one red card, a penalty against them, while they hardly troubled Hermansen all game. "Deserved", my hairy donkey!
  18. He has to get a rest. He's virtually playing every minute and we cannot risk injury to him with Wilf soon out for up to a month. They've marked the double pivot tightly. Him and Ricaedo rarely in a position to receive the ball. Except a stray pass or two, I think he's been par for the course really. He was pretty dreadful first half. If that had been McAteer he would probably have been hauled at HT. He's doing a great job defensively 2nd half though admittedly, even if his contribution going forward has been lacking a bit. Shame about his poor connection on the volley early in the 2nd half, it sat up nicely for him too.
  19. KDH has been doing lungbusting runs all evening. His passing hasn't been perfect, but he is ALWAYS in the box looking to get on the end of things. Fantastic energy.
  20. Even with our record start, this just highlights how incredible a 107 point season is. Big respect for even achieving such a high tally. December wasn't as tricky as Enzo predicted, but January might yet be with our expected absentees. Even if we keep it up, there's the uncertainty of how motivated the squad would be after promotion/title is confirmed
  21. Love Enzo and fully trust him already. He would benefit from some media coaching though. Starting nearly every answer with "As I said..." is getting a bit grating
  22. Assuming he's on something like £65-80k a week, it would 'only' mean £1-1,3m saved. It's maybe not even worth it as such?
  23. Ironic given how Real Madrid & Barcelona have consistently been attracting the biggest stars and even poaching them from the PLs top clubs (Henry, Bale, Fabregas, Ronaldo, Coutinho, Suarez, Hazard etc). Except Man City and PSG it seems no club can really truly compete with them.
  24. So he could have literally stood pitchside leaning on the hoardings and not received a booking? Seems very arbitrary when he was sat on the hoardings. Also, how often don't players jump over the hoardings to celebrate with their own fans? Look, I don't really buy into the 'banter' of football, which largely consists of abuse under the guise of being 'playful'. Taken into context, I still maintain Mav's celebration is on the lighter side and would not have gotten any attention a season or two ago. With football being more and more neutered on the field, it feels bizarre that fans criticise players for showing emotion or interacting with the crowd. As Watkins alluded to, it's also double standards to 'allow' fans the freedom of provocation but not the players.
  25. But it's not consistent, is it? As pointed out above, if Mav got a booking, then Fatawu, KDH and Watkins (in the Brentford-Villa game) should also have had one. And it really was nothing over the top at all. We see worse celebrations on a weekly basis all over the country, so why is he being singled out?
