  1. We've got to get over 20 surely but I can't see it. Can't see who we will beat. Next game I look at and think points is Brentford at home because I don't think we'll get anything from Everton.
  2. Great play from Maddison.
  3. Our wingers should look at that. We would pass the ball long before that.
  4. Disgusting prices. We should take 0 fans.
  5. Not his fault he’s 38 and still our main striker. The club are at fault for not replacing him with a player that is good enough.
  6. Said two years ago Faes and Vestergaard were not good enough. Vestergaard has one good season in the Championship and is rewarded with a new contract, so we’re stuck with him. There is the problem with this club. Easy contracts and easy money for players who don’t deserve it.
  7. Van Nistelrooy did inherit a shit squad but Cooper was picking points up here and there with the same squad. I don’t see how people can say Van Nistelrooy isn’t the problem when he has overseen 7 games without winning including home games against Wolves and Palace. There is no way a half decent manager wouldn’t pick up at least 2 points in those 7 games. As for the initial question, for me Rudkin needs to be sacked and we need a much better director of football.
  8. Sorry if you’ve mentioned already, or maybe cannot, but what the hell did you get banned for?
  9. Cooper had a load of shit players but won us points and didn’t go 7 games without a win. We’ve had two bad managers this season. A better manager would not have us losing 7 games in a row. I have never seen a bad manager defended so much on here.
  10. How has it naivety when we haven’t won in 7 games? At least under the previous manager we were picking up points here and there. But yes attention is needed on the board too.
  11. He lets players go all the time. I said way back when we played Arsenal away, he let Trossard basically walk past him to score.
  12. They will open us up with ease and score at least 3 goals.
  13. I said weeks ago I was sceptical. He has done nothing to improve us, if anything he has made us worse.
  14. Stopped reading at “no lack of effort”. These players are a disgrace.
  15. People make the argument for Daka that he rarely starts. So how many games did Cannon start last season? Not that I rate either of them, mind, but for comparison it has to be fair.
  16. Awful away day anyway.
  17. Or maybe they have thought about it... maybe they're fed up of these players as well
  18. Yeah I get that, just I always thought people like him should be sang for all the time. Tbf I don't often disagree with your posts. Suppose I got defensive of the Kop criticism but it's fair as I am one of few that join in with songs but there isn't many.
  19. Hope he's okay, Mowbray. Not seen much of him since his diagnosis though I know he has been at Middlesbrough games. Always liked him.
  20. It's like a cult. Has been for years though.
  21. Nothing's going to happen to them. Haaland will be on stupid wages, more than what the media or Man City say. They will challenge for the league next season. All will be forgotten.
  22. Guilt trip! Nobody's been "arsed" to sing for him for the past 10+ years. Only now he's ill again. Doesn't mean nobody cares though.
  23. Nobody knows, it's all guessing, which is why it's a stupid debate that keeps going on. But if people want to debate and compare managers then at least make the arguments fair. For example people defend Van Nistelrooy's defeats with the club's we've played yet under Cooper we only lost to teams in the top 10 anyway, aside from Man Utd (Fulham, Villa, Arsenal, Forest, Man Utd, Chelsea, Brentford). Cooper did not drop points against relegation rivals and we picked up points against Palace, Everton, Southampton and Ipswich. But under Van Nistelrooy we've played Wolves and Palace at home and lost both games without scoring. Also people defend Van Nistelrooy with "it's individual mistakes" but we were conceding due to individual mistakes under Cooper too. I lose track of the amount of points we lost under him due to player mistakes (Fulham, Palace, Arsenal and Ipswich all spring to mind). I think our general play, and keeping the ball, is better under Van Nistelrooy but we're still conceding at least 2 a game. Nothing has changed. I see arguments of "he has made us more organised" - where? We're conceding at a ridiculous rate. At the end of the day this squad was never good enough. I said prior to the season that 17th would have been a good season for us. These people who thought a better manager than Cooper would have us mid table were mad. It's a rubbish squad and all stems from above the manager.
  24. The issue is we are in a relegation battle, and we don't create a lot, so when chances come along we need to take them. Andy Cole playing for Newcastle or Manchester United, fighting for titles, is completely different. He probably got those 5 chances each game.
  25. Yes. It was very strange we won the football league and they finished bottom. They got relegated again after that too. But should be back in the football league next season hopefully, just as we get relegated
