A late candidate for worst performance of the season, cancels out the ground we made last weekend. Pathetic.

EFL Officiating Abomination Journal 23/24

A late candidate for the worst refereeing performance of the season. -
There's one thing struggling to make an impact in the Premier League, it's a fiercely competitive set of teams and players who walk in with reputations (e.g. Daka and Salzburg) get said reputations dismantled. But he is again struggling to make an impact in the Championship. He was so poor again today and it was almost like playing with 10 men until Vardy replaced him. Perhaps it's perspectives like that just say that it's best for all parties that he gets moved on in the summer. May have torn it up in Salzburg but other than the Spartak Moscow scoring spree, has been absolutely stinking the place out since he got here, and is being made to look ordinary by a veteran 12 years older than him. Someone go pack his bags, I'll get the taxi and plane booked for a one-way trip back to Salzburg or whoever might want him.

Hardly vintage Leicester but got the job done against a tricky Norwich side, totally deserved the win and the promotion push is still in our hands. Enzo using five substitutions was an added bonus too!

Take one mark off all of those ratings other than Ricardo and Winks, and think you're about spot on. -
Why is this all going t### up ?
Bezzanator89 replied to marcymarc666's topic in Leicester City Forum
Tactics: No Plan B, and Enzo's inability to change from something that clearly doesn't work. Can see why he hasn't been picked as manager at a higher level. Lack of confidence: Across the park. Easy to be swaggering when you're winning, even when you're playing honking football. But that just papers over the cracks. Confidence is shot, on and off the pitch. Bad luck: Used to be this. Officiating at this level is horrendous, but that's not the reason we have hit a rough run of form. It's mostly our own making now, we make our own luck. Too much chopping and changing: If anything, not enough. Some players should be nowhere near the Starting XI on current form. Then again, Enzo's reputation for abysmal and mind-boggling substitutions speaks for itself. So maybe keep as is and actually pick a decent line-up for a change. E.g. No more Hamza, stick the useless sod in the reserves. Too much fortune in early games: Not really. We just hadn't been worked out yet. New manager, new faces, new tactics, new Leicester, of sorts. Now that's nothing new anymore, it's as you were and we quite frankly, look shit. Bad management: You betcha. From the manager upwards. I'm not sure what difference changing the manager would do at this stage, probably na-da. But the whole hierarchy needs a shake-up, and Enzo too if he doesn't change his way. The fanbase are turning on him and this is a warning if anything to do what he hasn't done all season, and try something different before we complete the seemingly unthinkable bottle-job we have started and continue to execute. End of the day, it's easy to just say nowt if we are winning and cruising towards record totals at breakneck pace. But we're not and that's why conversations like these happen, and suddenly you can see why the Marescalator has well and truly started to cough and splutter. -
My first game back in my season ticket hotseat for two months, and I'm wondering what's the point with our current standard of football at the moment. I'd much rather like to stay at home and eat chocolate egg, but I suppose I can still have my egg in the stands whilst suffering in the stands. Probably 1-0 to Norwich, given our blunt attacking prowess and tactical ineffectiveness and inflexibility lately.

EFL has already decided that for us.

We were all surprised about how few key players actually left other than the obvious candidates of Maddison, Tielemans, Soyuncu and Barnes to name a few. This summer could be the exodus we all expected, if we fail to achieve promotion at the first attempt. Loans will be allowed to expire, end of contract players will leave, higher value players will be sold as we cannot afford to say no and the wage bill needs to be reduced, and let's face it, we have Premier League players in the Championship. I fully expect us to be picked apart from back to front, and a lot of our youngsters on pocket money wages to be suddenly thrust into the matchday squad. Oh, and there will be plenty of season tickets available. 10 years after we returned to the Premier League, the fairytale story could finally come to an end and we start again.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Bezzanator89 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
From the footballing blueprint that every Premier League club aspiring for European football would dream of, to this. How far we could fall, and keep falling, whilst the likes of Manchester "110 breaches" City continue to saunter to trophies galore unimpeded. Newsflash, they have the revenue and pulling power, we sure as hell don't. Money is the reason that the Citizens remain untouched, the implications to the Premier League would be disastrous for all those penny-pinchers up top. This could have been so different for us if we did managed to nick a Champions League spot when we had the chance, twice. If we do the previously-seemingly unthinkable and screw this up, it could be a few more years yet before another shot at promotion, and some difficult times lie ahead financially, bound by the shackles of FFP. Top may well just abandon his hotel complex vision and sell up, whilst the incompetent board line their pockets and leave (good riddance to you Whelan and Rudkin, you clearly cannot run a club). On the pitch, Enzo might well just pack his bags no matter what the outcome and the squad will be picked apart. And when that day comes, let the cycle restart anew and welcome back Nigel Pearson (let me dream and reminisce a little here). And the moneyspinner that is the EPL, I hope it collapses spectacularly and takes the Big 6 with it, can naff off to their glorified Super League for all I care. -
HMS Pisstheleague has been sunk. Momentum is everything and we have stopped in our tracks. Playoff McBoatface's engines are preparing to be fired up. Not sure I can take that again.
-
Vardy again brings us the points. Rest of the team need to look at themselves. The promotion push takes another hit. How have we become so average since the turn of the year? Mentally preparing myself for seemingly unthinkable playoffs in May.
-
He has been absolutely honking lately. Surely we have someone better? No? Okay.
-
Hope he leaves in the summer and takes Nacho with him.
-
You get this right and I'm asking for some lottery numbers.
-
Probably thinking about opportunities elsewhere?
-
Doesn't mean a lot with the chances he has been missing lately.

That ship has sailed, then hit a Leeds, Middlesbrough and QPR-shaped iceberg and sunk.

Not strengthening the team in January

Care to re-word that? -
The wheels on the promotion push go wobble, wobble, wobble...
-
Least Everton are losing. That makes my afternoon marginally better.
-
Incoming? Read the topic, it's already here.
-
Question is, will the fans still clap them off or tell the lads what they really think of that performance?
-
Not been the same since his injury. Was one of the best RBs in the Premier League at one point, now is just plain ordinary in the Championship.
