I’d like to line up with a 3-4-3: Schmeichel Maguire, New CB, Evans Pereira, Silva, Ndidi, New LWB Maddison, Vardy, New CAM The Two CAM’s next to Vardy will have freedom to roam and be our main creative outlets. On paper it’s a narrow 3-4-3 but the CAM’s freedom to roam will make it harder for opposition teams to double/triple mark them like they did with Mahrez. Plan B: If the two CAM’s aren’t working some games then we have Diabate/Gray on the bench who can play RW and LW of the front 3 and go direct. Plan C: Iheanacho can partner Vardy upfront and we go 3-4-1-2. Also this formation would benefit Silva who isn’t the strongest, but has the drive to get up and down the pitch and keep us ticking over in both halves of the pitch. The formation also gives Maguire freedom to go on his mazy runs and our attacking fullbacks add another dimension to our game.

Or if we’re switching to 3 at the back Fuchs can be cover for the LCB position, which will then allow us to sign another LWB to compete with Chilwell?

Looks like we’re going to splash 20m on a 3rd CB instead of promoting a youth player! Will surely mean we’re switching to 3 at the back as a 20m back up doesn’t make sense.

A new LWB to compete with Chilwell would be great if we’re switching to 3 at the back . Albrighton would be good cover for Pereira imo.

That would be a good move for him. He’s still young and has time on his side but like many others I don’t really rate him. If we end up selling both Mahrez and Gray we’d have to sign two wingers which might be difficult. Unless we sign one more and promote Thomas to the first team squad.

The line up is doggo. We’re playing with one CM! (Alli is not a CM). Also eventually a better team will catch Walker out who is not a CB, probably the Belgians. Either Delph or Loftus-Cheek should partner Henderson and then Sterling or Rashford behind Vardy and Kane in a 3-4-1-2: Pickford Maguire, Stones, Cahill Walker, Henderson, Delph, Rose Sterling Vardy, Kane Christ that line up is also muck (too many Spurs players) but probably the best we got!

Also the defence infront of him was an utter shambles last season.. Something many fans seem to disregard when slating Kasper’s performances! Our best defender Maguire makes the same amount of clangers as the rest of them. It’s the defence that needs to be improved , not the GK position! (hopefully Pereira/Evans rectify our problems)

Maguire does make a lot of mistakes... Morgan gets all the stick, but Maguire has cost us lots of goals too. Luckily he’s still young and will improve no doubt!

I’m not saying we wait until January. I’m saying if we sign Shaqiri we’ll realise he’s bang average and have to sign another player to replace Shaqiri. It’ll be a merry-go-round.

And then six months later we found a better player than Gueye in Ndidi. Think we’d end up having to try do something similar after we realise Shaqiri is actually pretty average.

I never understood Kante in the DM role. You’re limiting so many of his qualities by playing him there, like his dribbling, box to box runs, helping press from the front and winning the ball in the opposition half.
