yorkie1999 Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Yes, but the ref was on the blind side of the player.
Suffolk exile Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Definitely a hand ball - so yes we should. Their 'penalty' never was, and so justice was done!
Hollism Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 First half, handball? Wasn't clear on stream.. Don't think so, but we were at the opposite end to it. We'll have to wait for MOTD
johnny the fox Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 I once heard tell of a time when LCFC were awarded a penalty...I personally think its just a historical myth....never happened..
ImBlue Posted 25 April 2015 Author Posted 25 April 2015 We won, does it really matter??? It's just a question, is it that much of a problem????
chicagofox Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Definitely a hand ball - so yes we should. Their 'penalty' never was, and so justice was done! You're saying that tongue in cheek?
DB11 Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Definitely a hand ball - so yes we should. Their 'penalty' never was, and so justice was done! Wtf? The only shout of a penalty was nowhere near handball and the penalty was stonewall. Was your stream rubbish with no replays?
Kitchandro Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Was this the one where it was blasted at his hand which was by his side? Don't think I need to elaborate.'Justice' wasn't done, we deserved to lose on the day but maybe got that bit of luck we haven't had in other matches. That's football, Burnley had their chance and blew it, but we certainly couldn't have complained had we lost.

He certainly appealed as did a few others..
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Yes we should. The commentator said something like " the ball came down from a great height so no you can't give that" I thought as it's come from a great height you get more time to get your hand in the way.
Bryn Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Definitely a hand ball - so yes we should. Their 'penalty' never was, and so justice was done! Theirs was ****ing stonewall like,

I don't see things through blue-tinted specs but how the hell did we deserve to lose today?

Ings shot before the penalty maybe. The best save of the match from Kasper was almost an own goal.
MPH Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Was this the one where it was blasted at his hand which was by his side? Don't think I need to elaborate. If you can't even get the ball on target from a penalty then you definitely don't deserve to win....
davieG Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 The difference was more or less down to Kasper saving an almost certain own goal and their guy didn't he put it on a plate for Vardy and Kasper's save was harder. It was a game of atrition in pure football terms no one deserved any points but you don't get points for artistic or technical content.
Kitchandro Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Oh come on mate, have a word with yourself. I don't see things through blue-tinted specs but how the hell did we deserve to lose today? Because we played dreadfully and surrendered all the momentum. We left it down to luck, if Taylor doesn't slip just as he takes the penalty we go behind and it's an uphill battle. They bossed it 60/40 in possession 2nd half. What game were you watching? We were comfortably second best in general play, it's just two lucky moments went our way and Burnley weren't good enough to take advantage of us.
Kitchandro Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 we took our chance and they didn't. If you can't even get the ball on target from a penalty then you definitely don't deserve to win.... They didn't deserve to win, but we deserved to lose for our lack of ambition against a no mark club with a worse team than us. Penned in our own half for about an hour suggests we were pretty dire, this is fvcking Burnley ffs.
Kitchandro Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 I thought there was one when Huth went up for a header. He certainly appealed as did a few others.. Yeh I'm probably thinking of the wrong one tbf. We deserved to lose? Other than the penalty they created nothing substantial. Ings shot before the penalty maybe. The best save of the match from Kasper was almost an own goal. As above, there's a difference between them deserving to win and us deserving to lose. We were shocking and very fortunate that Burnley weren't good enough to take advantage.
MooseBreath Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Ref gave a handball against Albrighton for protecting his face after having the ball blasted at him from point blank range. If that was a handball then yes, we should have had a penalty.
Monk Posted 25 April 2015 Posted 25 April 2015 Saw the replay on TV in the U.S. And for me it was a definite penalty
ImBlue Posted 26 April 2015 Author Posted 26 April 2015 I was a little disappointed Nigel didn't mention it. May put more pressure on in future matches to get a pen, a vital one. Can't just complain when we lose?
