Being a socialist doesn't mean letting people walk all over you and take the piss. I'm all for people getting help when they need it, I'm happy for my taxes to help others in the state. But if you could be giving something back and you spend your time smashing up services that have been provided for you then you can bollocks. I'm not comfortable with them getting away with nearly every little thing they do. If it's common knowledge it shouldn't be difficult for the police to get a warrant. Being watched around the clock because you've been presumed guilty is a (mild) form of state oppression in my view.

The great big "they" can watch you all the time, they know what you do, what you like and where you go. Your phone cheerily tells you how long it'll take you to get to work or get home today in traffic, tells you how long it'll take you to get to the gym on days it's worked out you go to the gym. It even counts how many calories you're burning per day via gps. And you're worried about some cctv watching you casually walking about? Christ. I'm not saying any of it is right but cctv can at least serve purposes in regards justice and safety. Most cctv is just for general observation anyway, it's only watched if an incident occurs. I don't see the issue tbh.

Absolutely right, and if you are a law abiding citizen then you should have no problem with it and embrace the fact that the more of it out there, the more chance there is of catching law breakers in the act.

As someone said, they don't want to deal with cases involving gypsies but there's no way around it when there's conclusive proof. Also, if the gypos knew that they were being watched, they wouldn't do anything. Win/win.

Deep down, everyone knows that among the "traveler community" there are a higher percentage of criminals than any other. Problem is, they get away with it. Personally, I think their way of life is a joke. Setting up camp wherever there's a patch of grass and a tree, so that they can tie up a horse (and ****ing leave it), then leave a monumental pile of shit behind. I'm sure not every family is like that, but there are a lot.
