gerrytaggart Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Alot of reports today stating that Pearson Jr's actions while in Thailand and the subsequent handling were major factors in the sacking of Pearson Sr. My feeling is he should never have been here in the first place and although I cant say this for certain it is extremely likely that the only reason he was ever employed by LCFC is because of his dad. So the point of this thread is to question if there has ever been such a small time 'professional' whos actions have had such a big effect (either good or bad) on a football club???
Mark_w Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 So the point of this thread is to question if there has ever been such a small time 'professional' whos actions have had such a big effect (either good or bad) on a football club??? Yeah, Tom Hopper.
kingcarr21 Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Yeah, Tom Hopper. You beat me to it i was going to say the same thing. So i will delve into my memories and think of someone else. Adam Smith
Danizen Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 What was the name of that fella we had from Chelsea a few years ago? You know the one. His eyes pointed in opposite directions. He was quite small
indierich06 Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Can see why his dad gave him a job - wouldn't be the first time nepotism has reared it's head in football, or in any other trade. If he'd kept his head down, trained hard, he could easily have ground out a career in League 2 or something. Instead, he's acted like a complete dickhead and ****ed up his own career, his dad's career and damaged the football club. Absolute bellend.
gerrytaggart Posted 1 July 2015 Author Posted 1 July 2015 I dont think Pearson would have been sacked for the actions of Hopper or Smith. And the midget from Chelsea might have been small but certainly not 'small time'. I meant a player with zero hope of ever getting near the first team.

It wouldn't have been a story about racism without Tom Hopper, so I don't think he would have been sacked if it wasn't for his actions. Edit: If it's about the Thailand incident, which I'm not sure about.
Grey Fox Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Do we know which one of the three it was who said the offensive words? Smith said it wasn't him when he signed for Northampton. Also which one of the three was stupid enough to film it, let alone allow the video to fall into the wrong hands. Absolute morons! And no this doesn't mean I agree with what they did in the first place (before anyone starts having a go at me).

If his son wasnt grinning and high fiving his pal while abusing those women then I doubt it would have come to this.

Mark_w Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 So it was Hopper that said the words then? Well I haven't seen it, but that's my understanding from what I read on here?
VLC86 Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 What was the name of that fella we had from Chelsea a few years ago? You know the one. His eyes pointed in opposite directions. He was quite small Wasnt it poisenous midget cuntbag?
Grey Fox Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 I think that one lesson from this whole saga has to be not to take any of the youth team (U21's) on a good will tour in the future. They are too young and stupid to realise the damage they can do.
kingcarr21 Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Im glad he got sacked. The other players must have felt bad about themselves showering next to that weapon
gerrytaggart Posted 1 July 2015 Author Posted 1 July 2015 Im glad he got sacked. The other players must have felt bad about themselves showering next to that weapon What weapon? No girth whatsoever, the poor lad. Now back to the topic.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 James Pearson is not fit to whiten his father's trainers, what a disappointment he must be
LAprice_ Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Are these reports based on any actual facts or is it just speculation?
Guest Mee-9 Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Lets face it, if he was that good to play football professionally he wouldn't need his Dad to give him a leg up with his career.
blue army 1988 Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 No one officially knows it was because of the James Pearson in Thailand. All that was said to bbc was for non footballing matters, and bbc put two and two together imo
Brainy Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 It most likely was this though. I'm a tad confused though, is there a reason why people are saying he was sacked because his of the actions of his son? I would have thought he was sacked because he was unhappy/disagreed about his sacking. The former never even crossed my mind.
Brenfox Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Why is everyone blaming James Pearson? Nigel has been walking a tightrope for a very long time & he is very outspoken which is probably what cost him in the end.
Stevosevic Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 If James wasn't one of the three, and it was Hopper, Smith and another, i'm certain Nige would still be our manager. People can talk Hopper being the ring leader etc...but James got himself involved and is the one with relations to the manager.

Because if he hadn't got his ringpeice savaged by a thai hooker then Nige wouldn't have had to stick up for him *allegedly*

He certainly led with his ring, to judge from the video....
