Nige has perhaps been put into a position where it's the club or his son and he had to choose to stick by his son. Terrible ending to such a successful spell here.

People can talk Hopper being the ring leader etc...but James got himself involved and is the one with relations to the manager. Fully agree. There's no way we would have signed the players we have if this was for anything other than non footballing reasons. There's also no way that we couldn't have sacked all three either. Whether they played a small part, or a big part they've all behaved badly on a club trip, and will have been sacked "officially" for gross misconduct in the workplace.

Doubt it very much I dunno mate, if Nigel has fell out with the owners over the sacking it's very stupid considering he only had a couple of weeks left of his contract anyway. Unless Nigel was intending on extending it in which case he was purely doing it for personal reasons just because it was his son. Out of the 3 that got sacked 99% of people said Smith & Hopper would have no problem getting a new club albeit in the lower leagues. James however is bloody shite now unless he's got a different profession to fall back on he could be out of work for quite a while. If Nigel takes over a championship club I'd expect him to re-sign him and I doubt the club would care seen as they'd get a very good manager.
