Brenfox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I know this is very uncommon in men but has anyone had one? I've been diagnosed with what they think is a water infection & its extremely painful.
Footballwipe Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Had a UTI myself a couple of years ago. Horrendous, the burning and pain is horrible, you feel like you've got no energy and want to slog out on the bed all day, it really took it out of me. Then the medication gave me a horrible pain in my kidneys too, but once it kicks in it works fast. Apparently really common in ladies, if it is then I feel for them. Not nice.

Ozwin Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I thought I had one the other week, felt like I was busting for a piss for about an hour but nothing would come out. The pain, man.
Brenfox Posted 9 July 2015 Author Posted 9 July 2015 Managed to get back into the docs & it's probably kidney stones. Notknockynice
Adster Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I had one about 2 months ago. Constantly feeling the urge to go then nothing coming out really was irritating, and the pain in my bladder and heaviness in my right kidney was horrible at points. Turned out I had kidney stones too, they said it was caused by my diet (my diet really was pathetic). I was prescribed medication and I saw a dietitian and it's all good now. Hope you get your problem sorted soon
Bryn Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Regular paracetamol, drink water like it's going out of fashion, finish your course of antibiotics.
BoneDog Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 A couple of Calgon's works a treat. Also to prevent (or even dissolve so I've heard) kidney stones drink lemon juice on the regular. Fresh out of real lemons not pre-bottled. I squeeze a lemon into a glass of water (bottled obviously). Don't know if it works but I'm going on the assumption that God designed lemons for 60 odd reasons, one of which is to prevent/cure the stones.
ramboacdc Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 ive had loads in my time. its bloody horrible! water sleep painkillers and antibiotics the way to go!

Some months later I gave birth to my first He starts play school in September ...I`m planning for more by not eating or drinking anything with lemon juice in it and licking limescale from discarded kettle elements from down the tip.

I am Rod Hull Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Drink lots and lots of cranberry juice. Good call. That stuff was all I drank for 2 weeks after my first infection.
Carl the Llama Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 I wazzed it out.... I felt no pain (just a bit of discomfort) and then "pop". The man with a waste chute for a urethra.
Brenfox Posted 10 July 2015 Author Posted 10 July 2015 I know you are all refreshing this thread more than the new manager section so I'll update you. I managed to pass what can only be described as a large Boulder last night & I feel absolutely chipper this morning. I think I was lucky that I only had it for a couple of days.
