Who will be in danger of replacement under CR

Think it'd be the time now to buy a decent CB and replace Morgan. Moving forwards and all that.

Maybe a decent CM aswell along with Lestafan

I'm assuming Walshy will still be with us next season now, so why do people think Morgan will just be chucked out the front door?

I think he'll stay and we will get a decent CB in and Morgan will sit on the bench for most the season. I'd rather keep him because I'm sure injuries will play a big role with our CB's all being over 30(albeit for Moore.)

I can see Konchesky and Simpson being axed with Nugent loaned out. Personally can see Vards playing well under CR, he'll be full of confidence after England so he'll be fine.

So welcome to the KP Claudio

With every new manager, there almost always brings a new shake up of philosophy of how he likes the game to be played. Formations, style etc.So with this sadly, casualties in the player retention, players who dont fit into his model.

Who do people think are the players closest to the exit door in this respect. And who do u think he will be keen to keep of the squad.

For me. Going. Wes, konch, simpson, upson drinky, hammond vards nuge.hamer.

Keen to keep. Kasper. Huth Fuchs EC, Mahrez Albrighton Krammy King,

Okazaki wont be gone for obv reasons.

Thoughts?

Everone is under threat. A new manager means new thoughts, new tactics, new ideas. None of our players are exceptional talents and all are now playing for their places. Some might just not fancy working for him when they meet him and start training etc. We will just have to wait and see but we could see anyone leave now nothing is certain or equally all may stay.

Here we go again...Putting players names foward, believing you all know what ideas and plans are in Ranieri thoughts.

Not one for guessing I admit, I have no idea, but if there are thoughts of decimating the squad, its one crazy idea.

We have had the Mercenaries, using the same squad base is still the obvious way to go, because our owners dont want to go

the Man city way.Dont forget even if there was a team development issue between Pearson and owners, they will still want

to hold the reins, within financial outgoings. They have said on 2 or 3 occasions, large immediate spending will not be on the

cards, but funds will be available for quality buys. Father and son have been quoted that, its a long time investment, but with

Declaring targets, and seen improvements.

The reporters on Sky and BBC, have only been guessing, on all descisions, then try to turn ideas into fact.

The owners so far, havent declared or shouted out the odds, that upsets the anglo-saxon phsyc, when trying to get an heads

up start on breaking news. They ask ex stars like Cottee and Izzet, also trying to make their statements as knowledgeable

sources and spokesman. So far proven BS and nonsense.

im not sure its as harsh as u make it to be. Every manager likes his own ideas, team, on and off field to mirror his philosophies on the game. It is almost definite that there are going to be departures, team and squad selections that we are going to disagree with in different ways. Thats football. It evolves surely. All we are doing is hypothesising upon what changes may be made. Is that a bad thing?

All the people suggesting he's going to get rid of Upson - he's already gone. Contract already expired and we didn't bother renewing. Unless I've just made that up. Or we've resigned him and are so embarrassed about it we've just not told anyone and are hoping no one will notice.

lol. That was my fault. My bantz radar switched off.

Cambiasso was a VC under Rainieri and as a player at Inter - perhaps he'll be made captain when/if he signs a new contract.

Morgan may need a drop down to the bench.

yes on reflection the question should be which players will be facing far less meaninful playtime at lcfc under CR. whether that amounts to the same is up for debate.

Wes or Was might be an early consideration. Both easily good enough as squad players and who knows what CR will make of them. I would think that the midfield will be the main issue. EC, Kante and Sako may all be pursued still. Up front I think Albrighton and Vardy will be fine under CR. Interesting times ahead as he will certainly want to bring in 3 or 4 soon.

Just get rid of the ones for me who literally have no chance.

So:

Simpson

Bakayogo

Konchesky

Schwarzer

Upson

Lawrence

All the rest, you can make a case for staying, even as bit part players, over a full season.

those 2 already released

Would be great to replace the fringe players with players just as good as our first 11, but problem is you won't get players that good willing to sit on the bench at a relegation threatened team.

I Hope and half think Mahrez will flourish under CR.

I think Vardy will be the player who suffers most as a result of the appointment.

Drinkwater and De Laet (I can see another RB being bought in). Can also see Nugent being sold.

Vardy will run himself into the ground for any manager out of his own commitment to the club and the fans. He will endear himself to Ranieri, who should realise that Vardy is one of the best weapons in his attacking arsenal. A mere glance at the highlights in the survival run in will tell you that.

Kin ell, no room for sentiment in here. Our most successful captain since walshy and its in bin, bye. Wankers the lot of ya.

It's the team that's been successful but Morgan was a huge weak link last season until Huth came. Inferior by far to Wes yet picked either because he holds the captains armband or just favouritism by NP. Genuine tryer but poor imo

Well if we assume that the following form the squad so far.

GKs Kasper. CR signing?

Defence.Delaat. Wes Was Huth Moore Konch Fuchs Simpson a CR signing?Chillwell?

Midfield. Albrighton EC? King James Mahrez Hammond Drinkwater Schlupp Lawrence 2 CR signings

Attack Nuge Kramavic Ullua Vardy Okazaki CR Signing

This is 29 i believe. Four more than the allowed 25, then going down to 18 for match days. Given that CRs signings will be ones designed to hit the road running not for future as niges were. It leaves some v highly paid regulars on lengthy contracts not being able to even get to feel the splinters of the bench

and as davie pointed out earliei, who then buys these surplus to need players on 3 or 4 yr contracts on decent wages.

i totally agree and destination. Have to say that wes improved tenfold beside huth but i think his position and place will be replaced by quality. His 1st priority signing

I am sorry, but after having the misfortune of reading some of your posts, you are a KNOB.  Or someone who needs serious help for depression.  Not one of your posts have an inkling of positivity. So you are either deliberately doing this to get  reaction and I have bit or as I said at first a right royal KNOB

I don't think the OP was suggesting they would be sold, just replaced if Claudio wants to adopt new philosophies. Our success last season came from playing with pace on the counter attack piling bodies forward.

Having seen Claudio's Italian sides and back at Chelsea he played good football, but was largely a slow possession based build up. Therefore the players who aren't technically fantastic could be in risk of being replaced by other types of players. I would say Wes, Wasyl, Schlupp, RDL, Simpson, Vardy and Nuge will all not be the type of player that would suit that style so could be replaced.

thankyou. I appreciate that. Never was i being negative about anything. We have had different managers with different styles and thoughts. Buy and sell playerr accordingly. I was just thinking about the type of player he would want based upon past managerial record.thats all

Only those that have nothing good to say about anything.  I know this is a fan forum, but the constant negative post from the same people over an over again is really quite annoying.  How does that make you a fan when nothing the club, or players, or manager etc do is ever good enough.  Sure they are entitled to have an opinion, but then that opinion is able to be judged by others, as is mine by you.  I really do find it difficult to understand people who claim to support a team but never say anything good about it.

I do think it is probably a sense they think they should be running the club (delusional) and therefore criticize everything.  By all means if things deserve to be criticized then do so, but then tell us why.

Nugent, Simpson, Konchesky, Wes - think he may be relegated to 3rd choice Centre Half, Moore.
