kingfox Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Don't think he will be a fan of Morgan, Drinkwater & Nugent, can see him upgrading on those three. Konchesky, Moore, Simpson & Hammond might go or be loaned out. Finally not sure what he will make of Kramaric.
ktfox59 Posted 13 July 2015 Author Posted 13 July 2015 again mate it read 1yr with yrs ext if he plays 5 games.. Hope its a joke. Maybe. But 6 other players on that listmy bs radar on off. Released.
RedSoxUK Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Finally not sure what he will make of Kramaric. Chelsea target, Steve Walsh target - think Ranieri will trust our judgement and try and get him scoring on a regular basis, hopefully.
Guest ttfn Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Please keep Kingy Last time we had a fancy Dan foreigner in he made Kingy captain. The lad's like a cockroach (in the nicest possible way)
RedSoxUK Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Last time we had a fancy Dan foreigner in he made Kingy captain. The lad's like a cockroach (in the nicest possible way) Great survival instincts, heard he's a really nice guy too with the right attitude. He's every managers best friend when it comes to attitude and friendliness.
Corky Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Please keep Kingy King was the British CM who adapted best to the Premier League last season. Can see him playing a big role this time.
RedSoxUK Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 King was the British CM who adapted best to the Premier League last season. Can see him playing a big role this time. Ranieri isn't favourable to attacking CM's unless it's stacked in the middle.
Callabinho Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 My main concern is how we will set up. The players are going from a father figure to a public figure. It will be interesting to see how they adapt and change.
Thracian Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Much was made of Huth's arrival coinciding with our unprecedented run of results to save our Premiership status - and his influence can hardly be overstated - but King was another who returned to the side on a regular basis. It was always obvious to me that being able to pass the ball under pressure was going to be a vital factor in our fight for survival and, in so many parts of the field, King showed that quality time and again. I don't see him suddenly losing that ability but every player will quickly need to make an impression because Ranieri won't want to waste much time improving the team both individually and collectively to a) reflect the refreshing ambition of our owners and b) to give himself a twilight to his career that will be remembered and which would stand as a testimony to his ability. Everyone will be under pressure but the kind of pressure that asks each one of our players whether they really belong among the elite. Some will inevitably fall off the pace but others will respond and it wouldn't surprise me if Kingy is one of those who finds himself benefitting still further from the improving abilities around him. Why? Because his speed of thought and ability to consistently play one and two touch football even under pressure can only benefit from his having more options around him.
seenitall Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I think you're naturally going to get less of a bias towards domestic players with a foreign manager. So we're probably going to see less of what on the face of it looks like a "tight knit" majority-English squad and more foreign names instead. This isn't negative but if you think back to Sven we had Yakubu, Kamara, Van Aanholt, Vitor, Ricardo (ha) etc so I wouldn't be surprised if there is little or no English bias when it comes to recruitment. Doesn't equal failure though. Kasper, Huth, Was, Ulloa, Cambiasso, Kramaric, King (probably most offended by the English tag) Mahrez, Knocky....spot the Englishman there
Trav Le Bleu Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Roughly summarising the OP... he'll get rid of English players and keep foreigners?
dorsetboy Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 i think personally he will have a lot of discussion with shakey and walsh and if cambiasso comes back i can expect a lot of input from him also. claudio gave huth his first start as a 17 year old and really likes him so he will be a no brainer to stay but i do think he will want big name strikers up front so i expect vardy, ulloa, nugent to all leave and 2 big money names come in
whoareyaaa Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Morgan had a disaster at times through the first half of the season 1 mistake and the tinkerman will soon drop him, he played well at the end of the season though so may be given a chance.
whoareyaaa Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I think another good thing about Ranieri being here is he will keep any players that was having doubts about staying, marhez, kram, camby being the main 3.
Legend_in_blue Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I'd expect the same players who were on a tightrope to go when NP was here to be in the same position now. Nothing changes. The following are not good enough - Schwartzer, Hamer, Upson, Konch, Simpson, Nugent. Neither is Hammond but he's tied down and we're woefully short in midfield of any quality. He'll bring in 1 CB and 2 Ms imo.
Finn Claw II Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 So apart from vardy we expect broadly the same players as under Pearson to be shipped out?! I think he'll be asked his thoughts on Kante, Cambiasso, Sako and Austin et al - if he has anything against them I think a veto rather than pick new targets. End August we might see his influence and in Jan. If Walsh, shakespeare Rudkin etc go then I think the transfer policy could change but I doubt he is being given total control over transfers
les-tah Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 hope he sees what we all see and that we need another worldy of a centre back and centre midfielder as bare minimum
RedSoxUK Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 What is all this bo!!ocks about Vardy leaving? Hypothetical FoxesTalk where Ranieri prefers a more goal scoring, developed striker a.k.a Okazaki, to a run around menace a.k.a Vardy.
fuchsntf Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Here we go again...Putting players names foward, believing you all know what ideas and plans are in Ranieri thoughts. Not one for guessing I admit, I have no idea, but if there are thoughts of decimating the squad, its one crazy idea. We have had the Mercenaries, using the same squad base is still the obvious way to go, because our owners dont want to go the Man city way.Dont forget even if there was a team development issue between Pearson and owners, they will still want to hold the reins, within financial outgoings. They have said on 2 or 3 occasions, large immediate spending will not be on the cards, but funds will be available for quality buys. Father and son have been quoted that, its a long time investment, but with Declaring targets, and seen improvements. The reporters on Sky and BBC, have only been guessing, on all descisions, then try to turn ideas into fact. The owners so far, havent declared or shouted out the odds, that upsets the anglo-saxon phsyc, when trying to get an heads up start on breaking news. They ask ex stars like Cottee and Izzet, also trying to make their statements as knowledgeable sources and spokesman. So far proven BS and nonsense.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 Just get rid of the ones for me who literally have no chance. So: Simpson Bakayogo Konchesky Schwarzer Upson Lawrence All the rest, you can make a case for staying, even as bit part players, over a full season.
Lord Nibblington Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 All the people suggesting he's going to get rid of Upson - he's already gone. Contract already expired and we didn't bother renewing. Unless I've just made that up. Or we've resigned him and are so embarrassed about it we've just not told anyone and are hoping no one will notice.
