Babylon Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 Like finnegan said an hour to London then a couple of hours on the Eurostar to Paris. Of course it's possible, but if you're competing against a club already in London, also in the premier league, also offering the same wages... then actually living there will trump living in Leicester.
Frank to be Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 It's not just an area being nice by our standards, they also expect some of the trappings of wealth nearby. Specifically supermodels, in nightclubs, who will pretend to like you for a few hours if you spend a few grand on a booth and champagne. That kind of scene just isn't available in Leicester.

We have Coalville for that.
Guest Col city fan Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 People, do us all a favour and shut the **** up about living in Leicester. If you sign for the club, they don't force you to live in Neston Gardens or up the Matthews. Foxestalk has heard of commuting, right? Nowt up with the Saff like!

The whole world smiles Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 dortmund is absolute shit hole, industrial wasteland but doesn't stop them from attracting top, top players also see stoke with bojan etc.
Rob1742 Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 Live in Alderley Edge like Kasper then Agree, but as an example, most would prefer to play for Stoke so their journey from Alderley Edge isn't a long one every day.
Wilson_6 Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 Agree, but as an example, most would prefer to play for Stoke so their journey from Alderley Edge isn't a long one every day. Yeah but what else is there in Alderley edge? i dont know the area. Is there clubs and shopping like there is in London. Thats seems to be what people are getting at.
Vicki Vixen Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 Yeah but what else is there in Alderley edge? i dont know the area. Is there clubs and shopping like there is in London. Thats seems to be what people are getting at. I grew up in Cheshire. Alderley Edge has massive houses, nice restaurants, lots of sports car dealerships, 20 mins drive to Manchester and very close to Manchester Airport.
Christoph Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 dortmund is absolute shit hole, industrial wasteland but doesn't stop them from attracting top, top players also see stoke with bojan etc. But in all fairness those two teams are now quite established in their leagues. I'm sure if we're still in the premier league in 5 years time, we'll be attracting similar players.

Sir Shep Posted 28 July 2015 Posted 28 July 2015 Ridgeway and Ridings in Rothley are the most expensive postcode in the East Mids. There's plenty of nice villages in this glorious county of ours and I'd take this over any poxy over priced southern area or any grim, we northerners are such victims, northern area.
